Of all the Christmas stamp sets available from Stampin’ Up! right now my favourite has to be Wrapped in Christmas. I immediately fell in love with the Christmas Blessings sentiment and make no apologies for using it again on today’s card.

CHRISTMAS PLAID
I thought that today I’d make a Christmas card that was simple with a bit more of a masculine feel. So I began by choosing the Cherry Cobbler / Real Red plaid design from the ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.
For my card base I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Whisper White Card. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
From my plaid DSP I cut a piece 2-3/8″ x 5-1/2″. Then I cut some gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and mounted the DSP onto it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Although this is a more masculine card design I did want to add a little extra touch. For this I cut some Real Red 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon and wrapped it around the layered DSP. Then I secured it in place with a little Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the layers. Next I cut a shorter piece of the ribbon, threaded it under the long piece and tied a single knot.
With that done I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the assembled layers to the card base up against the fold.
CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS
At last I was ready to stamp, beginning with the sentiment.
Using Cherry Cobbler ink I carefully stamped the Christmas Blessings sentiment in the centre of the space below the layers on the card base. That completed the front and I just had little more stamping to complete the project.

As well as the nine sentiments, the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set has a small decorative image. Still using Cherry Cobbler ink I stamped the image in all four corners of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card. Then using liquid glue I fixed the layer inside the card base.
To make the Whisper White Medium Envelope coordinate with the card I simply stamped the image in the four corners on the front. In no time at all my more masculine Christmas Blessings card was done.
