Just recently we lost a very dear friend unexpectedly. I had originally planned to use the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set for a sympathy card, but in the end turned to Kindness & Compassion.

SIMPLE LAYERS
I began by choosing a piece from the Perennial Essence 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack. Then I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach it to a layer of Blackberry Bliss Card.
Next I used Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the “Our sincere condolences” sentiment onto a strip of Very Vanilla Card. Then this was fixed to a strip of Blackberry Bliss Card.
On the back of the sentiment I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to attach some Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim along the top and bottom edges. With that done, I fixed the sentiment to the DSP with liquid glue.
For my card base I used Thick Very Vanilla Card and added the assembled layers to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

MORE KINDNESS & COMPASSION
For the inside of the card I chose another sentiment from the Kindness & Compassion Stamp Set which says “Sending comforting hugs and healing prayers, So sorry for your loss”. I stamped the sentiment onto a layer of Very Vanilla Card using Blackberry Bliss ink and fixed it inside the card base with liquid glue.
Finally I used more liquid glue to attach another piece of the DSP to the flap of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Then I trimmed the DSP with Paper Snips using the edge of the flap as a guide.
In no time at all my card and envelope were done.
