With less than a week to go I’m starting to wind down my Christmas projects. The Stampin’ Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue is coming to an end and I’m ready for a change. But before I do I wanted to remind you of a few Holiday Catalogue items that will be carrying over into 2019. One of them is the First Frost Stamp Set, and today I used it to make a simple stamped wreath.

SIMPLE STAMPED WREATH
I began with the long foliage image from the First Frost Stamp Set and an Old Olive ink pad. Using a piece of scrap paper to mask off the bottom of the image, I stamped it a number of times onto a layer of Very Vanilla Card to create a rough circle.
Then using Cajun Craze ink I stamped the small berry image onto the stamped wreath.
I really liked how the two images combined and decided that would be the coordinating element for my project. First I stamped the images around the edge of a separate layer of Very Vanilla Card. Then I stamped around the edge on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.
Finally I stamped the sentiment from the First Frost Stamp Set onto some Thick Very Vanilla Card using Tranquil Tide ink. Then I punched out the sentiment with the Starburst Punch and the stamping was complete.
SIMPLE LAYERS
Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached my wreath layer to a layer of Cajun Craze Card. Then I added the stamped and punched sentiment to the centre of the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Next, using my Stampin’ Trimmer, I cut and scored a piece of Thick Very Vanilla Card. I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the card base. Then I added the assembled layers to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

After that I used liquid glue to attach the other Very Vanilla layer to the inside of the card base.
Finally I tied a bow with some 1/4″ Copper Trim and attached it to the top of the stamped wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
In no time at all my project was finished.
If you’re already desperate for a touch of spring, here’s another project I created using the First Frost Stamp Set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits.
