One of the things I love about being an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Canada is the support I receive from our Manager, Dale Hampshire. A few months ago I received a lovely card with an encouraging message inside and it’s been on display in my studio ever since. It’s a beautiful card designed by Tamara Bertram and today I used it as the inspiration for this project.

SIMPLE IMAGE
For my simple card I needed a simple image, but more specifically an outline drawing. My immediate thought was Beautiful You, and I chose the lady with the umbrella.
On a piece of Whisper White Card I stamped the lady using Sahara Sand ink. Then I stamped the “Wishing you brighter days to come” sentiment beside the image.
On another layer of Whisper White Card I stamped the lady in the bottom left corner, then did the same on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope.
There was no real colouring needed, I just used a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add a shimmer to the dress and umbrella on each image.

SIMPLE ASSEMBLY
With the stamping all done, I was now ready to assemble my card.
First I mounted the sentiment piece to a layer of Sahara Sand Card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then with Stampin’ Dimensionals I fixed the layers to a Thick Whisper White Card base.
Next I used liquid glue to fix the Whisper White layer with just the image inside the card base.
Finally on the front of the card I added a line of 3 small Pearl Basic Jewels and I was finished.
I really like how this card turned out, it really is a simple design but very striking, don’t you think?
Here’s the original card that inspired my project.

Here’s some other projects that I’ve created using the Beautiful You Stamp Set:
- Beautiful You meets Letter Board Messages
- Stampin’ Blends and Beautiful You
- Rainy morning brighter days
Love both cards. Simple yet elegant and really find the minimal colour palette most attractive! (especially with the WOS added!
Wow!) TFS Tracy!
Thank you Geraldine
