Today’s sneak peek project is a simple “thank you” gift tag. There are so many reasons to say thank you and maybe I should send this one to Stampin’ Up! You see the stamp set used to create this tag was free. It’s called A Touch Of Ink and is one of seven stamp sets and four packs of patterned paper in the Sale-A-Bration promotion starting on January 5th. To get any of these items all you’ll have to do is place a qualifying order.

TWO STEP STAMPING
Although it comes in a single stamp case A Touch Of Ink is a large stamp set. The 17 images and sentiments on the case insert are actually shown at 65% of their actual size. It’s a two-step stamp set with outline images plus solid images that can be used to add colour to them. The six sentiments also make it ideal for a variety of occasions.
For today’s project I chose the flower outline and solid stamp. First, on a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of retiring Whisper White Card I stamped the outline using Basic Gray ink. Then below it I stamped “Thank you so much”.
For the solid image I chose Bumblebee ink. This image is not meant to be an exact match to the outline but gives a more artistic interpretation. So no stress getting the solid image perfectly placed.
With the stamping done I cut the other layers for the tag next. First a 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Bumblebee Card, followed by a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic Gray Card. Then I layered all three card pieces together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
For the tag base I cut a 3″ x 6″ piece of Whisper White Card and scored it at 3″. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. To turn the mini card into a tag I punched an oval hole in the back close to the crease using the Detailed Trio Punch. Then I threaded some Linen Thread through the hole and tied it in a simple knot.
After that, I mounted the assembled layers onto the front of the folded tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I added a small Linen Thread bow with a Mini Glue Dot and I was done.
A TOUCH OF INK
I only used three stamps from the A Touch Of Ink Stamp Set today, but this is just the start. I have so many ideas for the rest of the set, particularly the hummingbird and butterfly images. But that will have to wait for another day. In the meantime here’s a look at the full 17 piece stamp set, and remember the stamps are much bigger than shown on the case sleeve.

In case you missed them here are my previous sneak peeks of products available starting January 5th.
I hope you’ll join me again tomorrow when I’ll have more sneak peek information for you.
