When I think of the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set I obviously think of thank you sentiments, however it’s so much more than that. There is large “Thanks”, “Thank you” and “So Grateful” sentiments but the other 16 are designed to expand on that. They’re great to build on the larger words on the front of a card, or to add to the inside. Today though I decided to use one of them to finish off a simply decorated sticky note pad.

SIMPLE COVER
I began by using my Paper Trimmer I cut a 3-1/8″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Smoky Slate Card. Next, with the long side at the top I scored the card at 3-1/8″ and 3-5/8″. After folding the card along the scored lines I sharpened the creases with a Bone Folder. Then I wrapped the card around the sticky note pad and fixed it to the back with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
To give the pad some stability I needed to add a base and for that I cut a 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Basic Black Card. With more liquid glue over the back of the pad I attached it to the Basic Black layer. Then I glued the assembled piece to a 3-5/8″ x 3-5/8″ piece of Smoky Slate Card.
To decorate the top of the pad I glued on a 3″ x 3″ piece from the Peaceful Place 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.
NO THANKS
Now I was ready for the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. What would be appropriate for a sticky note pad? In the end I chose “just wanted to say” and using Tuxedo Black ink I stamped it onto a 1/2″ x 3″ strip of Smoky Slate Card. Then I mounted the sentiment onto a 3/4″ x 3″ strip of Basic Black Card.

Finally I added the layered sentiment onto the top of the pad with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my quick project was complete.
This really was one of the easiest sticky note projects I’ve ever designed. I was going for something masculine or gender-neutral that would work in a variety of situations and and I love how this one turned out. What do you think?
