We’ve all done it, had good intentions about mailing a card and somehow it never happened. Right now, with the COVID-19 situation, my belated birthday card using the Sorry For Everything Stamp Set takes on a whole new meaning.

SIMPLY SORRY
I began my project with a Mossy Meadow ink pad and the large “sorry” sentiment. After stamping it onto Whisper White Card I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to mount it onto a layer of Mossy Meadow Card. Then I added a line of three small Pearl Basic Jewels along the bottom left corner.
Next came the Thick Whisper White Card base, cut and scored using my Paper Trimmer. Once cut, I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Then using liquid glue I added a layer of Mossy Meadow Card followed by a piece from the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack.

To complete the front of the card I then attached my assembled sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
MISSED BIRTHDAYS
Next I glued some more of the DSP to the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope. Then using the edge of the flap as I guide I trimmed the DSP to shape with my Paper Snips.
That just left the inside of the card to do.
Going back to the Sorry For Everything Stamp Set I chose a second sentiment, “I missed your birthday. (The celebration continues!)”. Once again using Mossy Meadow ink I stamped the sentiment onto a layer of Whisper White Card.

At the bottom of the layer I then attached a strip of the same Garden Lane DSP. Finally I glued the completed layer inside the card base and my quick card was finished.
When I bought the stamp set I read this sentiment as meaning I’d missed sending the card. Today though with social distancing firmly in place it could mean so much more than that. Funny enough some of the other sentiments in that stamp set seem more insightful now too. What do you think?
