While I love spending hours designing and creating cards and other items using Stampin Up! products I’m aware that not everyone has the time to spare, or the variety of tools and materials that I’ve been able to amass since joining Stampin’ Up! So today I have a quick and easy card that has no punching, no die-cutting, no embossing and not even any stamping. In fact, leave off the Grapefruit Grove mat underneath the centre piece and you don’t even need a trimmer to make this card!
So using nothing but sneak peek products from the Stampin’ Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue here’s what I did.
I took one of the new Large Memories & More Whisper White Cards and Envelopes, folded the card down the pre-scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
I wrapped a length of the new Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle around a 4″ x 6″ card taken from the new Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card Pack and secured it on the back using a little Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then I fixed the piece to the card base with Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Next I took one of the 3″ x 4″ cards from the same Memories & More Card Pack and with liquid glue attached it to a layer of the new Grapefruit Grove Card. In the top corner of the printed card I fixed a small square floral sticker from the Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card Pack and then added a medium-sized Blackberry Bliss self-adhesive accent from the new Faceted Dots. This layered piece was fixed onto the front of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the centre near the top on the inside of the card, and in the centre of the envelope flap, I fixed another of the same design of sticker from the card pack and my super easy card was done. How easy was that!
I’m loving these new Faceted Dots, there’s a total of 96 in a pack, in three sizes (3mm, 4mm and 6mm) and four colours (Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove and Mint Macaron). They add interest when you don’t want in-your-face bling, but the facets catch the light beautifully. I also like that there are some darker colours included in the set. What do you think?
Short and sweet today, but I’ll be back with another sneak peek for you tomorrow. It’s a home decor project that I’m sure you’ll love. I do hope you’ll join me.
