After yesterday’s very colourful bookmark project involving lots of steps, I decided to create something much simpler. The muted black, grey and white palette seemed perfect for a “Here for you” card. Mind you simpler didn’t have to mean boring. So to ‘colour’ the flowers I decided to pull out my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and off I went.

SO MUCH LOVE FOR STELLA
I found the images and sentiments for my project in the new So Much Love Stamp Set. It’s a small set with 3 images and 3 sentiments but I wanted it as soon as I saw it. One of the attractions was the fact that there were two fairly similar floral images but one much larger than the other.
To start my project I took two layers of Whisper White Card. On the first I used Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the larger flower diagonally across the bottom left corner. Then I took the other flower image and stamped that along the bottom of the second layer. Finally I stamped the small flower on the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope.
For my sentiment I chose “Here for you” from the So Much Love Stamp Set. Using Tuxedo Black in I stamped it in the space beside the larger flower.
With the stamping all done I then turned to my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Taking each petal and bud in turn I ‘painted’ each of the three images. In no time at all I was ready to start putting the card together.
SIMPLE LAYERS
Using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored some Gray Granite Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create a card base.

Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the layer with the smaller flower to the inside of the card base.
Using more liquid glue I mounted the main panel onto a layer of Basic Black Card. Then I wrapped some Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon around the layers and secured it on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Instead of tying a bow I took a short piece of the ribbon, threaded it under the first piece and tied a simple knot. This gave the impression of a bow but without the frustration of trying to make it look pretty.
All that was left was to mount the assembled layers onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I was done.
I must say that I’m really pleased with how this project turned out. The Clear Wink of Stella is not completely clear, in fact it has a faint grey undertone which works perfectly with the Gray Granite ribbon and card base. The shimmer is hard to photograph but I love how it catches the light when I pick up the card. Why not try it for yourself?
