Yesterday seemed to be another one of those days with lots of things to do and not enough time to do it in. Despite starting early I have a number of carry-over items on my to-do list today. But first I wanted to bring you instructions for another card designed and made during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge. The layout for this one is very simple and uses a 6” x 6” piece of patterned paper plus a very large sentiment from the Stepping Stones Stamp Set. TEXTURE CHIC I began ... VIEW POST
Christmas Occasions
Oh my goodness what a drive home I had yesterday. At 5pm it was pitch black and, much to my surprise, a snowstorm had developed. At some points visibility was near zero, fortunately there were very few cars on the road. I barely managed to get over 50kms an hour the whole drive home! Still, I made it, and now we have a pretty white blanket on the ground. Of all the occasions I create cards for Christmas is the busiest, but I’ve definitely had enough of snow for now. PRETTY ... Inspired 24 Times Over
Oh my goodness what a weekend I’ve had and it stretched right into Monday! On Saturday I attended my first craft fair of the season at Wentworth, Nova Scotia. Then on Sunday I started my delayed World Cardmaking Day challenge. This is where I challenge myself to design and make 24 different cards in 24 hours. It was close, but I made it with minutes to spare. Each card will be showcased here over the coming weeks, starting today with number 7 of 24, using the Inspired Thoughts Stamp ... VIEW POST
Inspired Simple Sympathy
Yesterday I had a great day selling my finished projects at the Christmas Craft Fair in Wentworth, Nova Scotia. Despite the forecast torrential rain (courtesy of post-tropical storm Nicole), almost 500 people turned out to buy local. I’m always interested to see people’s reactions to the things I’m selling. Sadly one of my most popular items was sympathy cards, with customers saying they like to keep a selection on hand “just in case”. So now I need to make more, starting with this one using the ... Celebrate With A Sash
I've made a few slimline cards but I'm pretty sure I've always taken the easy option of using 12" x 12" paper. However today I decided to try make this simple Sunday project using paper that's pre-cut at 6" x 6". Whenever I design a card I always decorate the inside and the accompanying envelope, and doing all that with one single 6” x 6” sheet of paper would be a challenge. I managed it though and the result was this birthday card using the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set. 6x6 PAPER ... VIEW POST
Simply Marbleous Satin Paper
Well yesterday was interesting. Hubby was out with the snowblower for more than 5 hours trying to clear our driveway after the snowstorm. While the wind scrubbed some areas, in others we had snowdrifts up to 5 feet deep. The road was just as bad, making for challenging conditions for the snowplow driver. But with the sunshine revealing the patterns carved in the snow by the wind I was reminded of the free Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP). So that's what I wanted to ... VIEW POST
