Happy Easter everyone. On this sunny morning here in Nova Scotia it’s easy to see that spring is in the air even if it is a tad chilly. Each day is slightly longer and the average temperature rises. Over the coming week it’s actually forecast to be quite warm. But until then I’ll satisfy myself with the flowers in my craft studio. So for today’s simple Sunday project I created a quick and easy “thinking of you” card using the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is now ... VIEW POST
Celebrating Early
Did you know that Mother’s Day is not held on the same date around the world? In the UK Mother’s Day is next Sunday (March 19th) and I’m always reminded of stores filled with bunches of bright yellow daffodils. However here in Nova Scotia it’s still way too cold for daffs, or pretty much any kind of flower. So perhaps that’s why Canadians celebrate Mother’s Day in May. Nevertheless for today’s project I decided to create this little favour box using the Celebrating You Stamp Set and Pretty ... VIEW POST
Warm And Cosy
Ooh it was mighty cold yesterday. The outdoor thermometer hovered around minus 24 Centigrade for most of the day. Thankfully the arctic air has moved on and it’s warming up. Not that it will be warm by any means, but hovering around zero is a lot more bearable. Being the sensible person that I am, I decided the extreme weather was Mother Nature’s way of telling me I should stay warm and cosy in my craft studio. While playing I came across this simple card I’ve not yet shown you. WARM ... VIEW POST
Abigail Rose To The Rescue
My regular readers will know that I’m a list-maker. I suppose I’ve always been like that, however as I get older I find having a to-do list invaluable. That’s not to say I’m not flexible. Sometimes plans need to be changed. Like today. Today I was supposed to be taking part in an international blog hop, but it’s been rescheduled to next week. That meant I needed to create an alternative project for today’s blog post. So I reached for the Abigail Rose suite and designed this pretty card ... VIEW POST
Abigail Rose Reimagined
After yesterday’s Christmas card I thought I’d better change season, at least for a while. So for today’s simple Sunday project I decided to go back to an old but fun technique that involves absolutely no stamping. All I needed was some Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Stampin’ Up! understands how relaxing it is to just sit and colour, and has made that really easy with paper packs like Perfectly Penciled. But today it was a sheet in the Abigail Rose DSP that ... Abigail Rose Inspired
It’s no secret that I love colouring. Whether using markers, pencils or ink, I find colouring very relaxing. Of course I can’t draw to save my life which is why stamping is my passion. The stamp designer does the drawing and I just add the colour. So you can imagine my delight when I realised the Abigail Rose 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) included sheets designed for that very reason. So I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and set to work. Well it would be rude not to... ABIGAIL ROSE ... VIEW POST
