My regular readers will know that I’m a list-maker. I suppose I’ve always been like that, however as I get older I find having a to-do list invaluable. That’s not to say I’m not flexible. Sometimes plans need to be changed. Like today. Today I was supposed to be taking part in an international blog hop, but it’s been rescheduled to next week. That meant I needed to create an alternative project for today’s blog post. So I reached for the Abigail Rose suite and designed this pretty card ... VIEW POST
Abigail Rose Reimagined
After yesterday’s Christmas card I thought I’d better change season, at least for a while. So for today’s simple Sunday project I decided to go back to an old but fun technique that involves absolutely no stamping. All I needed was some Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Stampin’ Up! understands how relaxing it is to just sit and colour, and has made that really easy with paper packs like Perfectly Penciled. But today it was a sheet in the Abigail Rose DSP that ... Sun Prints Script
When I think of the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) I automatically think of blue. Then I remember that I can get many of the same patterns in four other colours in the Pretty Prints DSP pack. But what I have to remind myself is that there’s also a more delicate option. All I have to do is flip over the blue sheets for some softer Gray Granite patterns. Cottage Rose Surprised Me
When you sit down to make something do you have a fixed plan that you follow? Or do you just start and then see where the products take you? Mostly for me it’s the second option. In fact that’s how I ended up with the striking black and gold gift tag on my blog yesterday. My plan for this project was a simple background and focal point using the Cottage Rose Stamp Set. However when I pulled out the Cottage Flowers Dies they added an extra detail I hadn’t previously considered. COTTAGE ... VIEW POST
Abigail Rose Inspired
It’s no secret that I love colouring. Whether using markers, pencils or ink, I find colouring very relaxing. Of course I can’t draw to save my life which is why stamping is my passion. The stamp designer does the drawing and I just add the colour. So you can imagine my delight when I realised the Abigail Rose 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) included sheets designed for that very reason. So I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and set to work. Well it would be rude not to... ABIGAIL ROSE ... VIEW POST
Cottage Rose Relaxation
It may only be Tuesday but it’s already been a long week. The end of the month is always hectic for me, and May has been particularly manic. It definitely feels like my to-do list is beating me. Still, I take comfort in the fact that I only have a few more tasks to conquer before I can start the new month afresh. Meanwhile I’ll de-stress with a little crafting. So armed with the Cottage Rose Stamp Set, Cottage Flowers Dies and coordinating Abigail Rose paper I set to work. LOTS OF ... VIEW POST
