Yesterday I finally received my pre-order of new products from the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue. However the day was not without disappointment as I’d barely opened the box before I had to get dressed for work and leave. On the plus side, as soon as I’ve finished writing this blog post I have the whole day free. So while I set to work on creating the projects for next week’s sneak peek posts, here’s a pretty gift card / treat holder created using the retiring All Dressed Up ... VIEW POST
Dressed To Impress Once More
Welcome to the start of a new week and the end of another month. Today I wanted to create something for my daughter. She’s an Avon Rep in the UK (@AvonByKaternoster) and I thought she might enjoy a pretty notepad. There’s one stamp set that would be perfect for her and that’s Dressed To Impress. Sadly I think this stamp set and the coordinating All Dressed Up Dies might be on the retiring list being revealed in three weeks. So this may well be my last opportunity to ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – World’s Greatest
It's the last Thursday in the month and time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month we have the World's Greatest kit to play with and lots of different elements to choose from. I wasn't sure about this kit initially but now I've started creating I can see so many possibilities. So here's the thing, I'm not a fan of Pacific Point as a colour. There I've said it. Of course the beauty of stamping is that you can choose any colour you like and make your projects personal to ... VIEW POST
Not Sure I’ll Ever Be This Bold
I love to colour but one thing that I struggle with is highlights. So I was very pleased with myself when I worked out how to make a flat lipstick image look rounded. Sometimes you just have to keep trying, in the certain knowledge that eventually you'll get there. To celebrate today's milestone I went looking for a really bold colour that would match my lipstick to the sentiment. Bold I may be, but probably not THAT bold. QUICK BACKGROUND LAYERS I began with a 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" spiral ... VIEW POST
Backpack Experiment Pays Off
Once again this morning my crafting went off on a tangent and my planned project didn't materialise. Instead I started experimenting with a way to close a mini backpack treat/gift pouch. I started off using a Mini Glue Dot but to be honest the backpack design didn't excite me. All it took was an extra die-cut piece and suddenly everything made sense. THE BASIC BACKPACK I began with the idea of making a simple backpack using the All Dressed Up Dies. So from Calypso Coral Card I cut ... VIEW POST
A Teeny Brushed Metal Sneak Peek
So today's project is nothing like what I had planned. It's not pink, it doesn't have flowers or a sentiment. It certainly doesn't remind me of a jacket I had some years ago. I also hadn't planned to use a new product from the Stampin' Up! August to December 2020 Mini Catalogue, but a teeny bit of Brushed Metal Cardstock snuck in there at the last minute. In fact the only part of my plan that did happen was I decorated a notebook. SPIRAL BOUND SOLUTION For the longest time I ... VIEW POST
