Have you seen the movie Groundhog Day? It's the tale of a weatherman who gets to relive February 2nd (Groundhog Day) over and over again. Well today is Groundhog Day and we have a big winter storm coming through just like in the movie. So when thinking about today's project I decided to remake an old one. Not just any project mind you, one from almost 4 years ago when the stamp set Hey, Chick! was originally released. My old Stampin' Up! blog is no longer active so I've also decided to ... VIEW POST
Old Chick, New Chick, Excitement
Usually I don't show sneak peeks of new products that customers can't buy for several weeks. But today I want to make an exception. That's because one of the new products I want to show isn't really new. Do you remember the cute Hey Chick Stamp Set from the 2017 Sale-A-Bration Brochure? It was incredibly popular and I immediately thought of it when I saw the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set in the new Mini Catalogue. Well it seems that this was no accident as Stampin' Up! have announced that ... VIEW POST
All Wired Up For Another Gift Tag
Today's project started with just one thought in my mind, use the All Wired Up Stamp Set. This is a simple background stamp but one that is so delicate that adds an elegant touch to any project. ALL WIRED UP GOLDEN To begin I cut a 2" x 4-1/4" strip of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I shaped the top using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch to create the tag base. Next using the Stamparatus to help me, I stamped the All Wired Up image onto the tag with VersaMark ink. Then I sprinkled ... VIEW POST
Backpack Experiment Pays Off
Once again this morning my crafting went off on a tangent and my planned project didn't materialise. Instead I started experimenting with a way to close a mini backpack treat/gift pouch. I started off using a Mini Glue Dot but to be honest the backpack design didn't excite me. All it took was an extra die-cut piece and suddenly everything made sense. THE BASIC BACKPACK I began with the idea of making a simple backpack using the All Dressed Up Dies. So from Calypso Coral Card I cut ... VIEW POST
Staying Positive In Trying Times
Unless you've been living under a rock you can't have missed the latest developments with COVID-19. In Nova Scotia we've had our first confirmed cases and here, as elsewhere, steps are being taken to slow down the spread of the virus. While it's definitely a worrying development, it's not unexpected so we are as prepared as we can be. It's important to stay positive and keep a sense of perspective. So to that end, if I end up having to self-isolate I'm planning to spend it inside my craft ... VIEW POST
Updating My Easel Calendar
One of my most popular projects on my blog, YouTube and Pinterest has been an easel calendar. It features a stitched mini calendar, 3" x 3" Post-It Note® pad and a mini pen in a holder. Even though I created this year's easel calendar at the beginning of the year it's still being repinned or liked every day. Well with a new year not that far away I decided it was time to create an updated version. HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE EASEL CALENDAR First, and to make things clearer, I created this ... VIEW POST
