I've already admitted to being obsessed with the Fern & Flora Suite and especially the Designer Series Paper (DSP). Earlier this month I created a thank you card and when it was finished there was a small piece of the Moonlit Flora DSP left over. Of course, being a very frugal crafter there was no way I was going to throw it away. So having decided it wouldn't hurt to craft for a few more minutes I decided to turn that scrap into a gift tag to coordinate with my card. I'd ended up with ... VIEW POST

Relaxing Waterside Reimagined
Last week I finally got my hands on the Relaxing Waterside Stamp Set and the coordinating dies. I love the outdoor theme and especially the wooden Adirondack chair. One of the dies cuts out the stamped chair, but there’s also two other die-cut chair options. These start with a chair frame viewed from the front with two separate 'wooden' chair back designs. These are great and I’d originally planned to try them out. However having die-cut the basic chair I suddenly had a different idea and ended ... VIEW POST
More Wonderful Thoughts
Although many weddings take place in the summer there’s something to be said for choosing a different season. It’s probably cheaper for one. Plus the cooler weather of spring or autumn might be more bearable. Of course winter weddings can be wonderful too. While some couples still create wish lists, many have already set up their homes and don’t want traditional gifts. So with that in mind I decided to create a quick but elegant gift card holder. The combination of gold and white could go with ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Card & Paper Scraps
It’s the first Wednesday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “Stunning Scraps” and the team has designed projects using scraps of all kinds. If you've followed me for a while you'll know I keep even quite small scraps of card and paper. Since 2015 I’ve stored all my card scraps in a single 8-1/2” x 10” biscuit tin and the system still works. The secret is to always look through the scraps before reaching for a full sheet. My other secret ... VIEW POST
Sincere & Heartfelt
Once upon a time I used to skip past sentiment-only stamp sets. I’m not sure that was entirely intentional, but rather that they didn’t catch my eye the way sets with images did. Now though I’ve learned that sentiment-only sets like So Sincere have a lot of potential. Without any images to influence me I feel much less guilty mixing and matching my stamp sets. So much so that I’ll happily take images from one set, like Heartfelt Hexagon and combine it with whatever sentiment suits the project ... VIEW POST
Autumn Pumpkins
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone. I do love a long weekend, however mine has been anything but relaxing. On Saturday, World Card Making Day saw me attempting my 7th annual “24 cards in 24 hours challenge”. I succeeded, and managed to grab 5 hours sleep as well, but that hectic 24 hours will catch up with me over the next few days for sure. So today I have a quick and easy project, using a colourful pumpkin pattern from the All About Autumn 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. ALL ... VIEW POST
