Are you a flowery crafter? I didn’t think I was until I looked back at projects I’ve made so far this year. However those photos don’t lie. Mind you, with so many gorgeous stamp sets, dies and punches in the Stampin’ Up! range it’s not difficult to find something to suit every taste. For today’s Simple Sunday project I turned to the Dainty Delight Stamp Set. I love the finished result and show another way to add ribbon to a gift tag without needing to use a punch or dies. DAINTY STEMS I ... VIEW POST
New Construction
Happy Canada Day! It’s hard to believe that we’re into the second half of 2023 already. Hubby and I both have full to-do lists as we hopefully finish the construction of our home network this weekend. We have a little more hardwiring to do, and then we can transfer all our remaining devices to it. Our new service appears to be four times faster than the old one which is a huge improvement, and this means I’ll finally be able to get back to making videos for my YouTube channel. So while I ... Notes For A Songbird
One of the things I’ve noticed that’s often misunderstood during the Stampin’ Up! Last Chance promotion is the issue of bundle discounts. This is where a stamp set is bundled with a punch or dies, and the two products are then offered together at a 10% discount. So I wanted to point out that all bundle discounts will end on May 1st. This is true even if both items, like the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set and Songbird Builder Punch used on today’s project are carrying over to the new ... VIEW POST
Another Timeless Idea
So yesterday’s storm wasn’t quite as bad as we’d expected. Rain, then freezing rain, followed by tiny ice pellets and finally some snow. Today the forecast is for sun, but the temperature will remain below freezing. In my mind that means Mother Nature wants me to stay indoors, so I’ve decided to spend the day crafting. I have a number of Kits Collection kits I want to explore more, like Timeless Greetings. While I could create projects following the included instructions, it’s fun to experiment ... VIEW POST
Stylish Classic Car
Yesterday was glorious with temperatures in the double digits and wall-to-wall sunshine. Last week’s snow melted away, and we finally had a little spring sneak peek. Today however is a different day, and as this is Nova Scotia winter hasn’t finished with us quite yet. Today’s forecast includes six hours of ice pellets and freezing rain. That won’t be fun, as thick ice coating the trees and power lines has the potential to knock out the power. So while I finish preparations for that, here’s a ... VIEW POST
Silly Goose
Despite having a room full of stamp sets and other crafty things I still get excited by the new. While I can’t afford to get everything I might want, I do like to treat myself each month. Yesterday I was delighted to finally get my hands on the Silly Goose Stamp Set. My regular readers will know I’m a sucker for cute animal (and bird) images and this one immediately caught my eye. So today I couldn’t help but get it inky to create this super sweet birthday gift tag. EASIEST TAG ... VIEW POST
