I’m having a very busy weekend attending a two-day craft fair at the Lowland Garden Centre in Great Village. I love getting customers’ on the spot feedback of the things I have available for sale. But while it enables me to get ideas for future projects, it doesn’t leave much time for my blog. However I wasn’t going to let that beat me. So in double-quick time I created this autumn-themed bookmark using Stampin’ Blends and the September 2026 Product of the Month; Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer ... VIEW POST
Blends Transformation
Harvest Time
Today’s a day to stay indoors with torrential rain forecast for the next 24 hours. Not what the local farmers need in the middle of harvest time. The garden is definitely starting to slow down and the last of the berries are waiting to be picked. That just leaves the apples to collect as thoughts turn to autumn. So I think it’s only fitting that I go back to the Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP) for today’s simple Sunday project... a five minute make featuring acorns and oak ... VIEW POST
Scrapbook & Smile
Those who’ve followed me for a while will know that I rarely create scrapbook pages. It’s not that I don’t want to, but rather that I find them incredibly challenging. However I just couldn’t help myself when I printed off some photos taken during a family holiday last October. Each one brings back wonderful memories although some are more powerful than others. This one of my youngest granddaughters is definitely a favourite. Then as I worked through the text I wanted to accompany it I ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Caring Leaves
It’s the first Wednesday in the month and time for another IDEAS Blog Hop. This month our theme is “Family Celebrations”. There’s so many ways and reasons to celebrate family and with autumn in the air I reached for the new Caring Leaves Stamp Set. For the September IDEAS Tutorial PDF bundle I decorated a mirror with fussy-cut leaves and inspirational sentiments. Then for my blog I decided to focus on stamped leaves in bold autumn colours. It’s been a while since I’ve done anything like this and ... VIEW POST
Autumn Patience
One very popular, if not the most popular item in the Stampin’ Up! September to December 2023 Mini Catalogue has been the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP). It seems like no matter how much they buy, we’re snatching it off the shelves. Mind you can they blame us? The 6” x 6” pack of paper has the most gorgeous autumn images that really need no embellishment. And on the reverse are sumptuous designs complete with copper foil accents. The in-house designers definitely knocked this one ... VIEW POST
Rustic Pumpkins & More
One of the things that originally attracted me to the Rustic Crate Stamp Set was the pretty images. I’ve always been a sucker for poinsettias, but this set had a gorgeous autumn arrangement of pumpkins, sunflowers and corn-cobs. So when I had to create a card in a hurry this was a bit of a no-brainer. All I needed was some basic layers and my trusty Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Then just because I could I cut out one image with the coordinating die before quickly putting it all ... VIEW POST
