And just like that her extended vacation is over and my granddaughter has returned home. The house is quiet now and it’s time to get back into my normal routine. Fortunately the weather was good yesterday and I was able to get all the bedding and towels washed and dried. Now I need to focus on a fall craft fair I’m attending in October. First on my list is a new selection of gender neutral birthday cards. I started with this balloon-themed one using the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set. I ... VIEW POST
In The Zone
The rain continues to fall and some (but not all) of the wildfires in Nova Scotia are out, or at least under control. The pictures that are being released are heartbreaking with so many homes and businesses damaged or destroyed. Still, people will likely rebuild but it will take quite some time. So while the weather prevents us from doing much in the garden I decided to stay in and craft (obviously). For this week’s simple Sunday project I created a fun birthday card using the Construction Zone ... VIEW POST
Children’s Zoo Time
After yesterday’s colourful thank you card I decided to make something more childlike for my second sneak peek project. You all know I’m a sucker for cute critters and the Zoo Crew 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) could have been made for me. Brightest Glow
Ok I admit it. When I first saw the Brightest Glow Stamp Set I decided I didn’t need it. But every time I flicked through the Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalogue I found myself pausing on page 30 and 31. I immediately bought and love the Lights Aglow paper, the ribbon and the festive pearls. But I finally gave in and got the Brightest Glow Stamp Set and coordinating Labels Aglow Dies. It’s designed as a “Christmas” stamp set but that wasn’t the theme of my first project. BRIGHTEST ... Celebrate Later
It’s Tuesday. It’s still raining. I have a huge list of things to accomplish today. But am I sad,? Oh no. That’s because, after getting held up in Quebec for a few days my recent orders are due to be delivered. There’s some staples (card and adhesives) but also some new products from the Annual Catalogue for me and some local customers. Plus I’ll also receive products pre-ordered from the July To December Mini Catalogue. It’s definitely a day to celebrate. But first, a birthday card for you to ... VIEW POST
A Different Kind Of Easter Chick
Happy Easter everyone. It's a beautiful spring day here where I'm staying in the south of England, and hopefully where you are too. For today's simple Sunday project I went looking for the Easter Bunny but came up short. Instead, please enjoy this "Best of Cluck" card featuring the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set. GOOD LUCK CHICK The Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set has four sentiments, four chick images plus an image of seeds and worms. Each sentiment can work with several of the images ... VIEW POST
