Oh my goodness, I blinked and it’s Monday again! How does that happen? The weekend comprised one warm, sunny day, and another rainy one to green up the grass. Not bad I suppose. Our cat Houdini has certainly been enjoying the better weather. Hubby was able to get things done in the garden, and we even noticed the rhubarb has started to come up. I’m continuing my preparations for the new catalogue and planning some sneak peek projects. But first here’s a bragworthy thank you card for all you ... VIEW POST
Triangles For A Sketch Challenge
Today was another one of those days when I really had no idea what I was going to make. While I was waiting for the kettle to boil I checked my e-mails and found the inspiration I needed. The Paper Players have a sketch challenge this week and I immediately wanted to join in. However instead of using three rectangles as the dominant feature, I decided to switch things up using the retiring Stitched Triangles Dies. With some retiring Designer Series Paper (DSP) close at hand I set to ... VIEW POST
Sea Where Your Stamp Sets Are Linked
I was inspired to create this tag when I was looking through some older stamp sets that I think are going to be retired later this month. Whale Done was one of them and I must admit I haven't used it much since the coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) was retired. This set links really well to a couple of other stamp sets and for today’s project I picked out a sentiment. Then with the Seas the Day Stamp Set, along with the coordinating Sea Dies I set to work. WHALE DONE As I was ... VIEW POST
One Final Happy Holly-Days Project
Ooh it's cold outside and the snow we had on Wednesday is still on the ground. Heavy rain is on the way though so it will probably all be gone by the weekend. It's still not clear whether we'll have a white Christmas but that doesn't change the fact that two weeks today will be Christmas Eve. Between now and then I'll enjoy getting a few final projects made with products that are retiring but currently still in stock. Today I decided to grab the Happy Holly-Days Stamp Set to make this pretty ... VIEW POST
Timeless Tulips For A Sympathy Card
At a recent craft fair I was struck by the number of people looking for get well, thinking of you and sympathy cards. Most said that while they hoped never to need to send them, it was something they always kept on hand. That way if they did need to send a card they had one that could go in the mail the same day. So when I was thinking about making a card for today's blog I immediately thought of a sympathy card. Out came the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and I got to work. BEAUTY OF THE ... VIEW POST
Simple Thoughts On World Diabetes Day
Today, November 14th, is Diabetes Awareness Day, and 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin by Canadian researchers. My long-time followers will know that we lost our son to complications arising from Type 1 diabetes and diabetes research is a cause that's close to my heart. So for today's simple Sunday project I created this card with "my thoughts are with you" sentiment. BEAUTY OF THE EARTH Pale blue is the colour for Diabetes (although rather than a ribbon, they ...
