You’ve heard me mention Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives range before. Over the past week I’ve used a number of products from this range which have never appeared in any catalogue (and won’t). However did you realise that this range also includes a few items that were in a past catalogue but are no longer there? These include two of the larger sizes of Circle Punches that were retired several years ago. But with today’s quick project I wanted to reaquaint you with the Warm Welcome Stamp Set ... VIEW POST
Gold Start For Autumn
Although we’ve had some scorching weather recently it’s obvious that autumn is just around the corner. So as I was looking at the Paper Florist Dies I began to think of ways to use them for the new season. I started by pulling out some ink pads in autumn shades and then remembered the Gold Distressed 12” x 12” Specialty Paper. I love the look of this paper but wondered whether it was possible to give it a hint of autumn colour. There was only one way to find out! DISTRESSED GOLD PAPER I ... VIEW POST
Playing with Animals Again
After yesterday’s #simplestamping project featuring the llama from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set I was inspired to make a project featuring another animal. This time I reached for the Playing In The Rain Stamp Set and the coordinating dies. I decided to create my own ‘scene’ including texture from the Crosshatch embossing folder (part of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders pack). Then there’s some simple layers using torn and inked card. By the time I was done I had this sweet thank you card with a ... VIEW POST
Dainty Little Stems
It’s no secret that I love the variety of flower and foliage images and dies offered by Stampin’ Up! It seems like there’s something to suit every occasion, and every size and shape of project. Sometimes I like to mix and match floral products, but not today. Today is all about the beautiful shapes of the Dainty Delight Dies. Keeping it simple, I also opted to use only one colour of ink, Pretty Peacock, with just a little white contrast, plus a sentiment courtesy of the Easter Bunny Stamp ... VIEW POST
Another Christmas In July
Christmas in July seems to really have taken off and not only in crafting circles. I see lots of references to the concept on TV and in stores. A couple of days ago Stampin’ Up! gave us a preview of the September to December 2023 Mini Catalogue. It’s chock full of amazing Christmas and other seasonal products that will be available for customers to order starting September 6th. Meanwhile there’s some great Christmas products in the Annual Catalogue too, like the Christmas Pinecone Dies I used to ... VIEW POST
Nature’s Inspiration
Did you know I try to only use currently available products when making projects for my blog? That’s because I know how frustrating it is to fall in love with a product only to find I can’t actually get it for myself. So the other day I was checking availability of an Online Exclusive item, but while doing so I was reminded of the Christmas Gifting Kit. I’ve always loved the stag silhouette in that kit and decided to add the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set to create this striking ... VIEW POST
