Twice in the past few days we’ve had a little snow forecast that failed to materialise. We may see some this evening followed by a lot of rain that will wash it all away. I’m still hopeful for at least a dusting of the white stuff for Christmas Day. Just enough to make it look pretty and festive, but hopefully without needing us to go out and shovel it. The lack of snow did influence today’s project which combines my three favourite greens with a pop of red and gold. OMBRE CHRISTMAS ... VIEW POST
Label Me Fancy Punch Tip
Some time ago I posted a video with a tip for using just the small hole part of the Label Me Fancy Punch. I’ve had lots of feedback about that tip from paper-crafters who found it really useful. However it was only as I was creating today’s simple Sunday project that another helpful tip for that punch popped into my head. What’s most surprising is that it’s very similar to a tip I’ve already posted for the Very Best Trio Punch. Sometimes it’s the most obvious solutions that escape us. LABEL ... VIEW POST
Poinsettia Idea
When I’m crafting I like to be able to find exactly what I need when I need it. Mostly that is achieved by having a place for everything and ‘resetting’ my craft space between each project. This is much less stressful than fruitless searching for something among an ever-growing pile on my desk. One of the jobs that I’ve been been meaning to do for a long time is make a list of the label style dies I have. Today’s poinsettia project reminded me I still need to do that. 'TIS THE ... VIEW POST
Christmas With Squirrels
I’ve been counting down the weeks to Christmas for a while now and it can’t be ignored any longer. Today is November 25th and the big day is only a month away. I’m not sure how it snuck up on me but I may be officially in panic mode! It’s a good job I designed and made a stash of cards during my recent personal challenge. Today I have a Christmas card featuring squirrels. They aren’t usually associated with Christmas but somehow these particular squirrels just seemed the perfect fit. INKED ... VIEW POST
Storybook Ending
Well it’s November 17th and today is the day we may see our first snow of the 2022/2023 winter season. The temperature has certainly come down a lot from the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been treated to this autumn. So today I thought it would be apt to bring you a snowy Christmas card idea. This was number 12 of the 24 cards I designed and made in a 24 hour period last weekend. My starting off point was the Storybook Gnomes paper which will be retiring all too soon. STORYBOOK ... Lights Aglow Coordination
Well today started off very nicely with a rare lie-in. The sun is shining and although it’s chilly out I’m snug and warm indoors. I’d created today’s Christmas card project using the Brightest Glow Bundle and coordinating Lights Aglow paper and sat down to write my blog. And that’s when things started to go wrong. Somehow my website is hiding some of the key components I use to add images and the product links. After almost an hour I’ve found a work-around so I can finally show you this ... VIEW POST
