From unseasonably warm to more like what we expect here in Nova Scotia at the end of October. We spent the weekend working in the garden getting it ready for the long winter ahead. We have snow forecast for today into tomorrow, and that inspired this card using the Beary Christmas 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP). Today’s card project is another one of my ‘experiments’. All I had in mind was using one the sentiments from the Brightest Wish Stamp Set with a fairly simple background. However instead of the usual rectangular layers I thought it would be fun to try something different. Of course I was mindful that it would need to be an idea I could easily explain. In case you haven’t glanced at the calendar yet, let me point out that it’s September 25th. That means there’s only 3 months until Christmas. It’s just a touch scary the way the year is flying by, and December will be here before we know it. I'd planned to be much further ahead with my seasonal crafting by now, but once again I’m playing catch up. While I try to set aside time for my crafting, life sometimes gets in the way. Like yesterday evening as I dealt with hubby’s flight from the UK being cancelled, and confirming his new flight details. Checked at 2am, only to discover he’d not seen my message and arrived at Heathrow an hour before he needed to. Then this morning a brief power outage set me back. Frosted Dots Magic
Although I’m still enjoying summer with my 12 year-old granddaughter I can’t help but think of Christmas. As a papercrafter it’s a bit of an occupational hazard.
