OK I admit it I may be slightly addicted to colouring my stamped images. I’m not an expert by any means but I do find it relaxing. Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers also make it ridiculously easy to get a nice even colour without those horrid lines other markers often leave. One of my favourite styles of focal point is a ‘scene’ and I’ve created a few using the characters from the By My Side Stamp Set. It’s such fun being able to put words into their mouths so to speak. One week today will be Christmas Day which means if you haven’t yet posted your Christmas cards they’re not going to arrive in time. Still there’s lots of crafting to do to get ready for the big day and less and less time to do it in. IDEAS Blog Hop: By My Side
It’s time for another IDEAS blog hop where this month our theme is “We are cut out to be friends”. For this theme we were asked to create projects that focused on cutting. Of course there are lots of different ways that cutting is used in papercrafting but mostly I concentrated on fussy cutting. By My Side Again
When you have lots of tools and materials in your craft room it can be tempting to think you have to use it all. However sometimes I like to pare it all back and make a much simpler looking project. That was my thinking today as I sat down to play with the By My Side Stamp Set. By My Side
I’m feeling a little better and hopefully the worst of this cold it behind me. Yesterday was one of those ‘go with the flow’ days, just doing what I could as I felt able. Lots of rest and plenty of fluids too. It’s definitely autumn here now, although the blaze of colour we’re used to is definitely lacking. Hurricane Fiona certainly cheated us when she tore the leaves from the trees. But nature rebounds and a butterfly inspired me to create this project using the By My Side Stamp Set. BY MY ...
