Today my first task was to celebrate the launch of the Last Chance Promotion and Clearance Rack refresh with a small order. I was also planning to take advantage of a Demonstrator perk by placing an order for some new products from the January to April Mini Catalogue. But first I needed to finish my blog post. Unfortunately we had strong winds and torrential rain overnight which caused the power to go out. After 9 hours it’s finally restored, and so I’m celebrating the return of heat and light ... Craft Fair Celebrations
With Remembrance Day over it’s time to really start thinking about Christmas celebrations. Today I’ll be attending the first of a number of craft fairs to sell the things I’ve made throughout the year. I really look forward to these events as it allows me to reconnect with past customers and meet new ones. Before they open to the public I also like to wander around and check out the other stalls. This is a great source of inspiration and I love to see all the hand crafted goods on ... VIEW POST
80 Days Until Christmas
In 1872 Jules Verne wrote a book called “Around the world in 80 days”. It seems hardly possible that in another 80 days it will be Christmas. What’s probably not surprising though is that I have barely made a dent in my long list of things I want to get done before then. So today I decided it was time for another Christmas card idea. This card has a modern feel, but uses some quite traditional colours. I was happy that I could use up some more paper scraps too. RED AND GREEN ... VIEW POST
Big Bold Christmas
Although I spent time yesterday preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Fiona I did get a little sidetracked in my craft studio. My regular followers will know I have a hard time parting with scraps, I’d much rather find a use for them. So when I discovered some stray pieces from the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack I just had to use them up. Armed with the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set and the coordinating Celebrations Tag Dies I set to ... VIEW POST
Celebrate With A Sash
I've made a few slimline cards but I'm pretty sure I've always taken the easy option of using 12" x 12" paper. However today I decided to try make this simple Sunday project using paper that's pre-cut at 6" x 6". Whenever I design a card I always decorate the inside and the accompanying envelope, and doing all that with one single 6” x 6” sheet of paper would be a challenge. I managed it though and the result was this birthday card using the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set. 6x6 PAPER ... VIEW POST
Gift Tag Surprise
One of my papercraft obsessions (apart from designing new projects) is not wasting materials. It’s for this reason that I love making bookmarks, gift tags and giftcard holders. These smaller projects use up scraps of card, paper and ribbon so it doesn’t go to waste. They can also inspire panels and layers for larger projects too, which is great when occasionally I’m faced with a creative block. So I couldn’t resist the Celebrate with Tags bundle in the Mini Catalogue and made this unusual ... VIEW POST
