If you saw my blog post yesterday you’ll know we have our eldest granddaughter staying with us for a few weeks. We have lots of special treats and visits planned, interspersed with some quieter days. The weather forecast for the next couple of days has a risk of thunderstorms which is a great excuse for staying in and crafting. So while I go and dig out a bunch of Paper Pumpkin kits for us to work on together, here’s a simple gender-neutral card created using the Layering Leaves Stamp ... VIEW POST
Dainty Simplicity
Are you a flowery crafter? I didn’t think I was until I looked back at projects I’ve made so far this year. However those photos don’t lie. Mind you, with so many gorgeous stamp sets, dies and punches in the Stampin’ Up! range it’s not difficult to find something to suit every taste. For today’s Simple Sunday project I turned to the Dainty Delight Stamp Set. I love the finished result and show another way to add ribbon to a gift tag without needing to use a punch or dies. DAINTY STEMS I ... VIEW POST
Celebrate With Fake Gold
And just like that it’s Monday again. I had a wonderfully productive weekend rediscovering old stamp sets and dies as I continued to reorganise my craft studio. I may even have made a Christmas card or two. Today’s elegant project uses the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set which is a bit of a misnomer as it includes sentiments for lots of occasions without an actual ‘tag’ design in sight. For my colours I chose Wild Wheat which takes on the hue of antique gold when paired alongside rich Pretty ... VIEW POST
Framed Florets Encore
A couple of weeks ago I brought you what I thought would be my last project using the retiring Framed Florets Stamp Set. While making that card I stamped and coloured a Basic White layer for the inside but then changed the orientation of the card. But as I didn’t want the decoration at the side of the layer I redid it and set the other piece aside. Yesterday while tidying up I came across the discarded layer and decided to make a gift tag so it wouldn't be wasted. SIDEWAYS FLORETS At the ... VIEW POST
Eden’s Garden Exit
The list of ‘Last Chance’ products that are now sold out continues to grow. Despite this there are still some amazing deals to be had. Today’s project uses four more retiring (but still available) items including cardstock and ink in rich Merry Merlot. But my main focus was the retiring Eden’s Garden Stamp Set and coordinating Eden Dies. These are both now on sale at 60% off, but of course only while stocks last. With the addition of gold accents this gender-neutral gift tag will most ... VIEW POST
Dainty Flowers Warning
Last week I showed you a little treat package made using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and a piece from the Dainty Flowers 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. One of the things about that project was that I’d cut through a floral ‘frame’ pattern. Of course I didn’t want to waste the other half so today I decided to use it up. Just a word of warning though... this paper is one of the free Sale-A-Bration products and only available until February 28th (while remaining stocks ... VIEW POST
