With all the talk about the Retiring or ‘Last Chance’ List I wanted to point out a few important details. Firstly, not everything on the list is going to be reduced. Secondly, any discounted prices will not come into effect until Tuesday April 4th. However, between now and then some retiring products are likely to go out of stock. It’s always a juggling act. Today I wanted to highlight five more items that are being retired. The one I’ll definitely miss the most is the multi-occasion Celebrating ... VIEW POST
Gilded Touches
Have you seen the Gilded Leafing in the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue? It’s a product that’s easy to overlook, especially if you have no idea how it’s used. Even I’ve wondered why I needed it when I can simply heat emboss on my projects instead. I’ve added it to a few projects in the past but today I found the perfect use for my Gilded Leafing, adding a touch of luxury to a clear cellophane bag. Gilded Leafing has a purpose when the materials you’re using can’t be heated! GILDED ... VIEW POST
Celebrating Early
Did you know that Mother’s Day is not held on the same date around the world? In the UK Mother’s Day is next Sunday (March 19th) and I’m always reminded of stores filled with bunches of bright yellow daffodils. However here in Nova Scotia it’s still way too cold for daffs, or pretty much any kind of flower. So perhaps that’s why Canadians celebrate Mother’s Day in May. Nevertheless for today’s project I decided to create this little favour box using the Celebrating You Stamp Set and Pretty ... VIEW POST
Cutting Dainty Flowers
When it comes to pretty patterned paper my education has taken another leap forward. Yesterday I did something that would have been unthinkable even a few short weeks ago… I cut up a sheet of the Dainty Flowers 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) that you can get for free during Sale-A-Bration. Nothing odd there you might think. But it wasn’t just any sheet, it was the sheet with the oval floral frames, and I cut right through the middle of one of them. But I had my reasons. CUT THROUGH ... Ready To Craft
So our journey through the Canadian weather options continues today. Yesterday we had several inches of snow. During the evening and overnight that turned to rain which has completely washed away all the snow. That’s nice, as it means that our decision not to go out and shovel it paid off. Today however they’re forecasting freezing rain which is a whole other ballgame. It looks like Mother Nature wants me to stay in and craft some more and I’m definitely ready to oblige, starting with this easy ... VIEW POST
Celebrating With Chic
While Christmas Day is now over there’s still quite a bit of celebrating to do in the next week or so. Boxing Day is often an extension of the Christmas festivities. Then I have my daughter’s birthday, as well as New Year to look forward to. So with that in mind I wanted to bring you another ‘idea’ project that you might find useful. It’s a fun way to dress up a wine or other bottle you might gift to a host, using simple layering with some ribbon and embellishments. LAYERED OVER THE ... VIEW POST
