Yesterday I went through my craft studio marking the products from the August to December Mini Catalogue that are retiring. While I'm always sad to see things go, I know that it makes way for new goodies. My challenge over the coming weeks is to remind you of some of the things you might want to get while they're still available. Today I've managed to combine four retiring products on one project. These are the Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Balmy Blue Glimmer ... VIEW POST
Christmas Gleaming Revisited
With the Designer Series Paper sale on until the end of the month I'd planned to use DSP in today's project. I even got so far as to cut the paper and glue it to some card. But then I realised that it was a distraction and set it aside to use on a future project. That happens sometimes and I'm OK with it. In the end I couldn't be happier with how my Christmas Gleaming project turned out. CHRISTMAS GLEAMING This tag project all began with the amazing holly image from the Christmas ... VIEW POST
Step By Step Ornament Colouring
Today's project was supposed to be a quick gift tag using one of the ornament images from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set. In the end it took me a lot longer than I'd planned as I decided to stop and take a photograph at every stage. So with an unusually photograph heavy blog post, here's my finished project. TAKE ONE ORNAMENT So I started today's project with one of the larger ornament images in the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set. Using Night of Navy ink I stamped the image onto Very ... VIEW POST
My Favourite Holly Image This Season
I may have mentioned this before, but of all the holly images available from Stampin' Up! right now, the one in the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set is my favourite. I love the size, the fact that there's four berries, and how the leaves are arranged. It's perfect for stamping directly onto a project, and not to difficult to fussy cut if desired. So I couldn't resist using it again on a card in both these ways. STRIKING BACKGROUND I began by making the striking background panel from a ... VIEW POST
An Extravaganza for Papercrafters
Stampin' Up!'s Online Extravaganza promotion has started! For the next three days you can save 15% off selected card colours and ink pads. Plus eight bundles have an additional 5% off, meaning you now save 15% off the cost of buying the stamp sets and coordinating dies separately. I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to get a discount on card I needed anyway so my order is already in. Of course the other bonus with paying less for the card, ink pads and bundles is you'll pay less on the ... VIEW POST
One Final Celestial Copper Project
Yesterday I told you that Stampin' Up! will be retiring the Delicata metallic ink pads and refills once current stocks have been exhausted. I'm really sad about this as the inks are gorgeous, but I have one final project using the Celestial Copper ink pad to show you. A MOSSY MEADOW START I began this project by using my new Paper Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Mossy Meadow Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Next I cut a ... VIEW POST
