For today’s simple Sunday project I have another sneak peek from the new Mini Catalogue. Much of this catalogue is geared to Christmas crafting and one suite of products immediately caught my attention. It’s called the Boughs of Holly suite featuring a stamp set, coordinating dies, wood embellishments and ribbon. As you’d expect there’s also some Designer Series Paper (DSP). And that’s what I noticed first. This Boughs of Holly 12” x 12” DSP is rather unusual though as there’s very little holly ... VIEW POST
Songbirds Need Notes
I’m so fortunate to live in beautiful rural Nova Scotia. With a house that looks over Cobequid Bay and acres of grassland and trees it’s such a peaceful spot. I’ve always been attracted to nature and love to see the wildlife that comes to visit. Some like the deer are quiet and we only know they’re there if we happen to look out at the perfect moment. Others like the birds are more obvious, and they inspired me to design this cute robin note-card using the Sweet Songbirds Stamp ... VIEW POST
Texture Chic Surprise
Did you know that in 206 days it will be Christmas? That's almost 30 weeks I hear you say. True, but think about how many cards you’ll want to send, and divide that by 30. That’s what you’ll need to make this week, and every week until Christmas. Of course the cards are actually sent ahead of time, which means we don’t have 30 weeks at all. So when I came across the snowflake pattern in the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper pack, I knew what I had to do. SEASONAL TEXTURE CHIC I have to ... VIEW POST
Tailor Made Ahead Of Time
How early is too early to make a start on this year’s Christmas crafting? Yesterday’s blog post featured a pretty but simple Christmas card using the retiring Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and coordinating So Many Snowflakes Dies. Today I wanted to remind you about the Tidings of Christmas 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) that’s also being retired. This DSP has lots of patterns that can be used for other occasions too. In fact I included two of these on this tag created with the Tailor Made Tags ... VIEW POST
Snowflakes Are Melting Away
If you follow my Papercraft With Me Facebook page you may have seen a video I posted on Monday, filmed during the snowstorm we had that day. The highlight however was catching a pair of foxes playing in the garden. Normally they’re quite well camouflaged, but that morning with the snow on the ground they were much easier to see. Most of the snow has melted away now, but it inspired me to make one last Christmas card using the retiring Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and So Many Snowflakes ... VIEW POST
The End Of Snowman Season
My daughter happily told me that where she is in the UK it’s +13C before noon and they’re all in shorts. Here it’s barely +4C and I’ve no plans to put away my warm clothes for a while. Spring is coming though and with it will go all thoughts of winter, even in my craft studio. But not quite yet as I continue my review of retiring products. Today’s project features the retiring Snowman Season Stamp Set and coordinating (and also retiring) Snowman Builder Punch. I’m going to miss them. LET'S ... VIEW POST
