There's no blog project this morning as I simply wanted to wish you a merry Christmas and a peaceful 2023. Thank you to my blog followers, friends and family for all your support in 2022, I cannot tell you how much you are appreciated. I also want to send a very special thank you to everyone who chose me as their Demonstrator when placing orders with Stampin' Up!, and to those who buy my finished projects at local craft stores and fairs. It's because of you that I'm able to continue to share ... VIEW POST
Simply Paper And Ribbon
Well we survived the storm overnight and the power stayed on. Not everyone was so lucky and I sincerely hope they can be reconnected in time for Christmas. It’s Christmas Eve and we no longer have weeks, or even days to complete our preparations. Instead the panic is driven by mere hours and minutes. So today’s very quick project is more of an idea than a specific how-to. Simply grab some pretty paper that works with your colour scheme, a little ribbon and one or two bits from the garden. I ... Christmas Meal Planning
With only 3 days before the big day I’ve realised that I still have a lot to get done. I have the little notebook I created a couple of months ago and I’m constantly adding things I’ve forgotten. This book will definitely give me a head-start for Christmas 2023 as many of the tasks are the same every year. The lack of snow did influence today’s project which combines my three favourite greens with a pop of red and gold. OMBRE CHRISTMAS ... VIEW POST
Black For Christmas?

These all caught my eye as they used black cardstock as their base. I was immediately struck by how the decoration really popped out against the black background. So having more Basic Black Card scraps around than I’d like, I decided to use some to create a Christmas gift tag. Also among my scraps I found a die-cut floral piece and it all progressed from ... Deer Leg Discovery
I’m one of those stampers who don’t mind rubber or photopolymer stamps. What is more important to me is the quality. Both types of stamps have their benefits and shortcomings. I particularly like photopolymer stamps as they make it really easy to get the placement just right. I also like that I can bend or move parts of some stamps to suit my purpose. However this second ability caught me out today. So that meant stamping the deer a second time, but the end result was worth it I ... VIEW POST
