When I made today's project using the Delivering Cheer Stamp Set I thought I'd come up with a cute Christmas card. But several days later as I looked at the image of the lady carrying a huge pile of gifts I had another idea. The pile of gifts could actually be for any occasion. With a simple change of sentiment you could have a card for a birthday, baby shower, wedding, anything. So now I've added that to my design ideas list for a future blog post. But first, here's my original Christmas ... VIEW POST
When Is A Pansy Not A Pansy
I must say that I love pansies. For someone who's a lazy gardener I'm delighted when a pansy self-seeds and saves me the trouble of planting new flowers. What's more they come back every year in my little area of Canada which is a huge bonus. But indoors I've been wondering whether there's more to the Pansy Petals suite from Stampin' Up! So I started experimenting. Today's project is perfect if you're looking for something a little more tropical. PANSY PIECES Yes that really is a ... VIEW POST
A Little Vintage Rose And Razzleberry
This morning has been a touch stressful with an internet service that was slower than dial-up. If you're reading this is means that I have finally managed to get my photos uploaded after several hours of trying. Today's project is a card created using the Very Versailles Stamp Set. To give it a vintage feel I chose a simple colour palette of Rococo Rose, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla. This was really quick to put together. If only my internet were as fast. Shades Of Blue Came In Waves
Today I decided it was about time I created a masculine / gender neutral gift tag. I've been looking at the tags I've created recently and there's been a lot of flowers, but not today. My gift tag idea started with simple shades of blue and flowed from there. WHISPER WHITE START I wanted to keep things fairly simple so started with a 2" x 4" piece of Thick Whisper White Card. Then I punched the top using the oval hole option on the Detailed Trio Punch. Then I turned to the Country ... VIEW POST
Grape And Apple, A Pretty Combination
Whether it's called Highland Heather, Purple Posy, Gorgeous Grape or something else, I love purples. I always have. Of all the purples in the current Stampin' Up! range, Gorgeous Grape has to be my absolute favourite. It's bright and cheery and brings a smile to my face every time I use it. That said, the smile was wearing a little thin after colouring fifty eight tiny flowers for today's project. FLORAL BORDER AND MORE When I sat down to make this card what I had in mind was an ... Thoughtful Blooms For Spring
My latest box of goodies from Stampin' Up! was finally delivered yesterday and was waiting for me when I got home. But with so many new products it's hard to know what to play with first. Looking for a little inspiration I scanned my emails and found a great colour challenge. So I immediately reached for the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set and set to work. THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS The CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #354 gave me Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green and Rococo Rose as my colour ... VIEW POST
