Today I thought it was time for another masculine project. It's a simple idea using just Night of Navy and white. The Clubhouse Stamp Set, Golf Club Dies and Country Club Designer Series Paper (DSP) are all retiring, but are still available while stocks last. It's a fairly simple layout but check out the idea for getting extra dimension on delicate die cuts. CLUBHOUSE STAMPING I began with the golfer image from the Clubhouse Stamp Set and stamped him onto Thick Whisper White ... VIEW POST
No Excuses This Christmas
While not everyone has the luxury of staying safe at home right now, many people have found they have extra time on their hands. Closets are being sorted and cupboards tidied, at least in my house. So it was inevitable that I'd come across some large biscuit tins that I'd saved "in case I needed them". It also occurred to me that this 'spare' time means there'll be no excuses for not having cards and other Christmas projects done in plenty of time. So having put those two ideas together I ... An Interesting Morning In The Country
To say it's been an interesting morning here in my little corner of Nova Scotia would be a huge understatement. This morning we awoke to find that there was an "active shooter" incident in progress just about 3kms up the road! Everyone has been told to stay inside, lock their doors and report anyone on their property. They are still searching for the suspect who is considered armed and dangerous. And there I was thinking that living in the country would be quiet and uneventful. I have no ... VIEW POST
Decision Time – Listening To My Heart
Life is pretty stressful right now and I've quickly come to realise that it can bring out the best and worst in people. I can't control what other people say and do, but I can control how I react to that. When I'm making decisions I know that the best ones are those that don't compromise my core values. I weigh things up and then after careful thought I do what my heart tells me is right. There's no point dwelling on things. Deal with what's important and within your control, and don't ... VIEW POST
Still Too Early For Tulips
When I first look at a new Stampin' Up! catalogue I tend to skim through it. I make a note of what immediately catches my eye and most often it's the images. But then I go back through and look more closely at each set. Doing this I realise how much I miss the first time round. I mean it's so easy to be sidetracked by images you know you have to get. In fact I've found that images that don't appeal often affect my view of the entire stamp set. This was the case with Timeless Tulips. I ... VIEW POST
Shades Of Blue Came In Waves
Today I decided it was about time I created a masculine / gender neutral gift tag. I've been looking at the tags I've created recently and there's been a lot of flowers, but not today. My gift tag idea started with simple shades of blue and flowed from there. WHISPER WHITE START I wanted to keep things fairly simple so started with a 2" x 4" piece of Thick Whisper White Card. Then I punched the top using the oval hole option on the Detailed Trio Punch. Then I turned to the Country ... VIEW POST
