A couple of weeks ago I created a simple thank you card using a 6” x 6” piece from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. After making the card I was left with a small scrap of DSP and decided to turn it into a quick gift tag. Using scraps of card in the same colour scheme of Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue, along with the Happy Labels Stamp Set I set to work. All I needed to add was the Something Fancy Dies to make the shape. BOHO BLUE SCRAPS As this was a bonus project, my ... VIEW POST
Countryside Inn On Display
As soon as I saw the Celebrate Today Magnet Board Kit last year I knew I had to get it. As well as the white-framed 12” x 12” metal board, the kit includes lots of other parts and pieces to dress it up. I’ve revamped the colour scheme a few times in the past but my most recent update was in October! Today I decided it was high time I removed that cute Christmas gnome theme. So pulling out the Countryside Inn 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack I set to work. COUNTRYSIDE FOX I ... VIEW POST
Stylish Layered Shapes
When looking through the Stampin’ Up! Up! catalogue it’s easy to be drawn in by the fancy dies. I find that’s especially true if the dies coordinate with a stamp set. But what about those ‘boring’ sets, you know the simpler shapes that are designed to be universal? If you’re like me you’ll get them because you know they’ll be useful, but then rarely use them. Take the Stylish Shapes Dies, I’ve had these for quite a while, but only today did I make something that made me go “wow!” SIMPLE ... VIEW POST
Wonderful Thoughts
As well as being a sucker for cute animal images I’m also a big fan of sentiments. My problem is that I’m not keen on loose scripted fonts, to my eye they appear scruffy. And to be honest if I’d wanted a messy sentiment I’d write it by hand! So when I saw the new Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set I was immediately drawn in. It’s one of those sets that uses two different fonts, a ‘print’ and a ‘script’ (if that makes sense), and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. SIMPLY WONDERFUL Although ... VIEW POST
Boho Blue
When I first saw the complete colour refresh of the Stampin’ Up! range I wasn’t convinced I needed more blues. We already had lots to choose from, even after Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point were retired. But then I actually got my hands on them and I was pleasantly surprised. Boho Blue (one of the 2023-2025 In Colors) is a gorgeous mid-range dusky blue and fills a gap I didn’t even know existed. So for today’s simple Sunday project I decided to use it to create this thank you card. BOHO BLUE ... VIEW POST
Daisies And More
At last the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue is live and products are available for customers to buy. Over the past week I’ve brought you sneak peeks of just a few of the items I was able to buy in advance. Now, like you I’m able to choose from the entire catalogue. But with a limited budget it’s hard to know what to prioritise first. In the end I settled on some additional cardstock in some of my favourite new colours along with some ink pads and Stampin’ Blends. Then I added in a few ... VIEW POST
