It’s no secret that I love the variety of flower and foliage images and dies offered by Stampin’ Up! It seems like there’s something to suit every occasion, and every size and shape of project. Sometimes I like to mix and match floral products, but not today. Today is all about the beautiful shapes of the Dainty Delight Dies. Keeping it simple, I also opted to use only one colour of ink, Pretty Peacock, with just a little white contrast, plus a sentiment courtesy of the Easter Bunny Stamp ... VIEW POST
Wonderful Lupins
Yesterday I was distracted by my garden. I was supposed to be cleaning my craft studio and as I looked out the window I saw purple. So I decided to wander out to our back field, camera in hand. The grass at that end of our property is tall and was still wet from the morning fog, but I wasn’t going to be deterred. Instead I was rewarded with a sea of wonderful lupins. They immediately inspired me to create this “thinking of you” card using the Dainty Delight Dies. DAINTY FLOWERS When I ... VIEW POST
Delight In Monochrome
Normally I’d be disappointed if it rained at the weekend, but not today. Nova Scotia’s weather is finally giving the personnel fighting the wildfires a break. Hopefully with a full week of rain in the forecast things will be under control soon. Meanwhile I’ve been working on today’s card project. As I sat down my plan was to include dies and maybe an embossing folder, and keep the colour palette very simple. The final result using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and Dies turned out even better than ... VIEW POST
Dainty Details
At last, rainy days followed by warm sunshine have made the garden spring into life. It’s been a slow start but the leaves have finally appeared on the trees. At the edge of the ditch by the road the fern fronds are unfurling and all manner of tiny flowers have appeared in the lawn. It’s not manicured by any means, and we even embrace the bright and colourful dandelions that feed the local bees. The garden inspired today’s thank you card using the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and coordinating ... VIEW POST
Daisies In The Dark
Back last December when I first saw the Dainty Delight Dies I knew that I needed them in my collection. What originally attracted my attention were the small daisy-shaped dies, but then I saw the gorgeous curved stem and I was smitten. Fast forward six months and I definitely don’t regret that purchase. The leafy stem is useful in so many ways, but today it was different daisy images that inspired me. These came courtesy of the new Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set and coordinating dies (another ... VIEW POST
Dainty Flowers Warning
Last week I showed you a little treat package made using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and a piece from the Dainty Flowers 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. One of the things about that project was that I’d cut through a floral ‘frame’ pattern. Of course I didn’t want to waste the other half so today I decided to use it up. Just a word of warning though... this paper is one of the free Sale-A-Bration products and only available until February 28th (while remaining stocks ... VIEW POST
