At the beginning of the year I created a welcome plaque as my Painted Poppies sneak peek project. I loved the results and I know many of you did too. As so often happens I didn't actually use all the poppy images I painted and as a result I left the unused ones in the stamp case. Then when I opened the stamp set yesterday to create another poppy project I rediscovered the images and as a happy consequence I ended up with this card. POPPY PAPER? With my main images already completed I ... VIEW POST
Stamp A Stack Of Thank You Cards
With Christmas fast approaching you might think that's all I'm focusing on right now. Well I am, sort of. But I'm not just making Christmas cards. At this time of year I also need to make a stack of thank you cards too. Some will be given or sent out before Christmas to show my appreciation to people who have helped me during the year. Others will be used after Christmas to say thank you for gifts or messages received over the holiday period. So today my project is fairly simple, but ... VIEW POST
Take A Stroll Down Garden Lane
When I first started papercrafting I didn't use a whole lot of patterned paper. However over the past several years I've begin to use it more and more. Of course Stampin' Up!'s stunning Designer Series Paper (DSP) has been a big factor in that. The quality of the paper (almost lightweight card) and the amazing patterns and images created by the Stampin' Up! designers make it a great option. The other thing I love is that the colours used in the designs are listed on the packaging and in the ... VIEW POST
Putting Away The Punch Board
Once again I've found myself designing a project with a retiring product and wondering why on earth I didn't use it more. Today's revelation came with the Gift Bag Punch Board. I made myself feel a little better however by including a tiny sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue. GIFT BAG PUNCH BOARD Before we get to the new stuff, let's start with the bag I created using the retiring Gift Bag Punch Board. For this I decided to use two sheets of dotted Call Me ... VIEW POST
Signs of Spring
We survived the storm, and while it's still windy, it's not half as bad as it was yesterday. As I predicted, we did lose power, but thankfully after I'd finished my blog post, and only for about 2-1/2 hours. Today is bright and sunny and just outside the window I see lots of little finches looking for breakfast. Soon the grass will turn green again and the dandelions and daisies will reappear. I love these first signs of spring. Today I have lots of errands to run and thank you cards to ... VIEW POST
Daisy Pot Project
What do you do when you can't get to sleep, or wake up in the middle of the night? Me? I start thinking about crafting. I may start by thinking of some stamp sets I haven't used for a while. Or I may have a particular technique I want to try. I've found this helps me get back to sleep and if not, it's better than counting sheep or thinking about my tax return. Last night as I drifted back off to sleep I was thinking that I needed something for today's blog. When I woke up this morning, ... VIEW POST
