It's Mothering Sunday in the UK and for the first time in over 10 years I'm spending it with my daughter and granddaughters. The sun is shining and it promises to be a lovely day. For today's simple Sunday project I have a quick and easy bookmark idea using the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set. It would be the perfect with a personal handwritten message on the back and slipped into a gifted book. TRELLIS BACKGROUND This project popped into my head as soon as I saw the trellis pattern in the ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – Sending Hearts
It's the last Thursday of the month and time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month we've been playing with the January kit called Sending Hearts. While it might appear to be a 'Valentines' kit, I have three alternate projects that can be used all year round. TWO FOR ONE My first two projects were created from one card base, the Poppy Parade one in fact. And it was the square pattern that inspired my design. First though I cut a 2" strip off the front of the card ... VIEW POST
Another Puzzling Chicken Question
Forget about why the chicken crossed the road, why did she tie a balloon to her tail? I mean chickens can already fly, sort of. Whatever the reason, you have to admit it's a cute image and the perfect size for a quick bookmark project. CHICKEN COLOURS I began my bookmark as always with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of card, this time in Thick Whisper White. Then I shaped the top and added the hole at the same time using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Next, from the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp ... VIEW POST
All Wired Up For Another Gift Tag
Today's project started with just one thought in my mind, use the All Wired Up Stamp Set. This is a simple background stamp but one that is so delicate that adds an elegant touch to any project. ALL WIRED UP GOLDEN To begin I cut a 2" x 4-1/4" strip of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I shaped the top using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch to create the tag base. Next using the Stamparatus to help me, I stamped the All Wired Up image onto the tag with VersaMark ink. Then I sprinkled ... VIEW POST
Narnia Inspired Bookmark Just Happened
This morning's project is another one of those happy accidents that happen in my studio from time to time. I actually planned to make a Christmas gift tag but ended up with a bookmark. And not just any bookmark, one inspired by the Narnia books of C.S. Lewis. As it turns out my dancing goat doesn't match Mr. Tumnus' description in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but you get the idea. NARNIA THEME This project happened when I pulled out the Snowflake Splendor 12" x 12" Designer ... VIEW POST
Senior Years Full Of Fun Today
After making a lot of cards over the weekend it was nice to do something else today. Making 24 cards using lots of different products and techniques reminded me of some of my favourites. Some things I've not used in a while and some I still didn't have a chance to use. So today to put that right I pulled out the Senior Years Stamp Set. The images and sentiments are such fun and a joy to colour. STAMPARATUS I began today's project with my basic bookmark base. This is a 2" x 5-1/2" ... VIEW POST
