One of the things I love about new products is the opportunity to experiment with different techniques. That's not to say the techniques are new and unique, sometimes it's just something I haven't done in a while. It was only as I was finishing off today's project using the Encircled in Beauty Dies that an idea popped into my head. I have to say I'm really pleased with the result. ENCIRCLED IN FRIENDSHIP My project began with the "just a note to let you know that someone thought of ... VIEW POST
Going Back To Picking Poppies
Sometimes life gets hectic and I find myself needing to make a card in a hurry. That's what happened today but with some pretty poppies as my starting point this project came together really quickly. PRETTY POPPIES PAPER There's something about the colours in this pretty poppies paper that just keeps drawing me in. It's one of 12 double-sided designs in the Peaceful Poppies 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Today I started by cutting a 6" x 6" square. Then I cut a ... VIEW POST
Noble Peacock Colours
I love the way that Stampin' Up! have created 'suites' in their catalogues. Each suite is a collection of products that are all designed to complement each other, and make coordination effortless. One of these suites is Noble Peacock. As with all suites there is a stamp set (Royal Peacock), plus there's also dies, Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments. I have to be honest and say while I like the Royal Peacock Stamp Set and some of the other products, it might not make it into ... VIEW POST
Here Come The Flowers
It might be a slight understatement to say that spring has been a little late arriving here in Nova Scotia. Finally, we're seeing near normal temperatures and we might even see blossom on the apple trees in a day or two. Other flowers are starting to show signs of life as well and I'm looking forward to all the bright colours. In anticipation of that, today's birthday card project has a floral theme, courtesy of the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP). AN ABUNDANCE OF ... VIEW POST
Garden Retirement
It's still almost 4 weeks until the Stampin' Up! 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue goes live and time is starting to drag. It's not that I don't have lots of lovely things to play with, but I feel like we're a little bit in limbo. I still have a stack of retiring products still to show you, but want to share the new stuff too. What's holding me back is that I don't want to get you all excited about something that you'll have to wait nearly a month to buy. That doesn't seem fair. So for now I'll ... VIEW POST
Paper Pumpkin Sentimental Rose
Well today is an exiting day for me, it's my first time on A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. I've done blog hops from time to time in the past, but this one came out of the blue. If you follow me on Facebook you'll know that for the past few months I've been providing alternate project ideas for Paper Pumpkin kits. These have been featured in the monthly Facebook Live presentation over on the official Paper Pumpkin Facebook Page. Well after the last Facebook Live I was contacted by the team at ... VIEW POST
