A week or so ago I showed you how I used an image from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set to create a larger 'background' design. On that occasion I used part of the background on a card project, and I promised two more projects would follow. So here's the first of those, using another piece to create a quick gift tag. ELEGANTLY SAID BACKGROUND My background began as an experiment using the large image from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. I'd realised I could simply stamp the four 'triangles' ... VIEW POST
Elegantly Said Does It Once Again
When I bought the Elegantly Said Stamp Set it was definitely because of the sentiments. Not only did I like the words but the combination of scripts really stood out. I was also drawn to the large triangular-shaped decorative image and have had great fun trying out new ideas. Today's project is the first in a set of three, a 'clean and simple' card. ELEGANTLY CREATED My project began as I was experimenting with that large image from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. I wanted to find ... VIEW POST
Two Colour Flower With Elegantly Said
Have you had a chance to look through the July to December Mini Catalogue yet? I spent a couple of very happy hours yesterday reviewing my wish list. Sadly I wasn't able to place an order as my replacement credit card seemed to have gone missing at the UPS depot in Dartmouth. Today though I have a notification that they expect to deliver it to me today. I can't wait! To keep myself busy while I wait for UPS to arrive I decided to have another play with the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. I love ... VIEW POST
Elegantly Drawn, Elegantly Said
Do you ever find yourself drawn to an image but then struggle to actually use it on a project? It's happened to me more than once. After a few days working on other things ideas started to pop into my head. Maybe they won't all work out, but it's certainly not the creative block I was dreading. So here's my first ... VIEW POST
Drybrush And Blending Brushes Combined Today
Did you have a good weekend? I didn't get as much done as I'd liked, but I did solve a major problem on my computer so I'm calling that a win. Between decluttering my studio and computer I also found time for a little crafting. My plan was to try out a new (to me) background stamp called Drybrush. Me being me however, I had something a little different in mind for my first project. DRYBRUSH OVER INK Before I could get to the Drybrush Stamp Set I first needed to prepare the base. So ... Simply Elegant Is, Well, Elegant
There is something quite wonderful about the Simply Elegant 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). It has some lovely gender neutral patterns and I love the Basic Black, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla colour palette. But the star of the pack has to be the amazing foiled designs on the reverse of each sheet. The combination of gold, silver and copper may sound a bit over the top, but it works. And as I discovered today you don't need a lot to create a simply elegant gift ... VIEW POST
