So this morning I had an idea. I experimented a few days ago with a double-inking technique on the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder® and was really pleased with the results. Today I had an idea to try using a different Dynamic embossing folder on DSP to see how that worked. So I pulled out one I haven't used in ages, Basket Weave, and accidentally made a masculine birthday card. Not that I'm complaining! BASKET WEAVE DYNAMIC EMBOSSING FOLDER The point about the ... Tin Tile – Retro Design
Today I'm continuing my Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue sneak peeks with a really simple project. I've chosen to showcase the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder because it's simply gorgeous. The 6" x 6" embossing folder looks just like those retro ceilings that seem to be back in fashion. There's an amazing amount of detail in the design, and it looks good on foil and card. The tiled layout was perfect for the Less Is More challenge 378 (Sketch 24) and this was ... VIEW POST
Use your scraps and stay in control
Many times in my blog I've tried to help you use your scraps with my project design inspirations. I've had a few people tell me that finding the right scraps is an issue for them too. Being organised with how you store and use your scraps is essential if you're to succeed with this. That's even more important for me as I keep the tiniest pieces. After a few years of trying various solutions I think I've got this down to a fine art. I have one biscuit tin that contains all my card scraps ... VIEW POST
Garden Trellis and Accented Blooms
Today's card project uses the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder® and Accented Blooms Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! I must admit though that it wasn't the products that kick started my project, it was two design challenges. Freshly Made Sketches FMS350 provided the layout, and Just Add Ink JAI422 the inspiration for the techniques used. Overall the project came together fairly quickly. Unfortunately the same can't be said of the uploading and editing of my project photos, ... VIEW POST
Blended Seasons and copper leaves
I've been having so much fun playing with the new Blended Seasons Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! It's a little sad to think that it's a limited edition set and is only available in August while stocks last. The set has the most gorgeous line art images that have been designed to be coloured, but what if you don't like colouring, or simply don't fancy that today? Well when I pulled out the falling leaves image I'd planned to use watercolour pencils to create gorgeous fall colours. However once ... VIEW POST
So many Wonderful Moments
When I first saw the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set in the Stampin' Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue I knew it was one that I wanted in my craft studio. The three large beautifully drawn line art images reminded me of the Beautiful You Stamp Set, but there's also some smaller images for you to add extra details to one of the them. And don't assume that the sentiments are only for wedding and baby showers, look closely and you'll see they're great for lots of other occasions too. I was delighted ... VIEW POST
