As the reality of physical distancing hits home and more activities are no longer available, are you finding new things to enjoy? Are you taking advantage of the enforced downtime and doing things you've been putting off? Although I am still working at the pharmacy, I do have some extra time on my hands now that my classes are cancelled for the forseeable future. So I'm planning to reorganise my craft studio. It's something that I do every April in preparation for the new Stampin' Up! Annual ... VIEW POST
Miss You
For the past few days I've been working on getting my accounts sorted out. I'm a bit of a procrastinator and would much rather spend my time papercrafting, and I've finally had to set some boundaries. Yesterday I was in full-on accounts mode, but finally got everything together and delivered to my accountant. Yay! Sadly though that left little time to put together today's project. So I've a quick #simplestamping miss you card letting my craft studio know how I've been feeling. MISS YOU ... VIEW POST
Enjoy Life and playing with ink
It's funny how often something I did in school many years ago sparks an experiment in my craft studio. They're not always successful, but earlier in the week I created a really fun background that was just perfect for my Design Team contribution for this week's What Will You Stamp/ Challenge #WWYS177 - Enjoy Life. As luck would have it the Just Us Girls Challenge this week is #JUGS449 - Watercolour Background, and the Global Design Project challenge this week is #GDP147 - Country / Farm Life, ... VIEW POST
Back in my craft studio
Well hello there! For the past month I've not done any crafting, in fact I've not even been in my craft studio as I've been on an extended vacation in Europe. I had a lot of fun with family and friends, not least because we celebrated the marriage of our daughter. We only got home yesterday afternoon so I'm still unpacking and getting myself sorted out. With such a long break it felt quite odd sitting down at my desk this morning and trying to come up with an idea for my blog. In the end ... VIEW POST
Shaded Spruce
With the new 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up! comes a colour revamp. Lots of colours have retired and been replaced with fresh new ones and I have to say so far I haven't met one I didn't like. Over the next couple of months I plan to create projects that focus on just one of the new colours and I thought I'd start this little series with Shaded Spruce. This deep green is simply stunning. It's dark without being dreary and I'm sure it will be a huge hit. Today's project is a ... VIEW POST
Orchids and angels
Today our son would have been 32 had he not died unexpectedly last summer, so I wasn't sure whether I'd feel up to creating something in my craft studio for today's blog. I had considered a scrapbook page, but to be honest that's still a hard task. So in many ways having his birthday fall on a Monday when I usually show you a project I've created for the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Design Team, made that decision a little easier. The challenge this week is WWYS168 - Climbing Orchid and I ... VIEW POST
