Last month I made my first Z-fold card in a very long time. It's such an easy way to add interest to a card I have no idea why I don't do it more often. So when I was working on my 24 cards in 24 hours challenge I decided to make my last card a z-fold one. Z-FOLD BASE I began this project by creating a basic A2 card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored on the long side at 4-1/4"). Then I flipped the card over and with the other long edge at the top scored it at 2-1/8". Then it was simply a ... VIEW POST
Z-Fold cards really aren’t that difficult
Just recently it occurred to me that while I design three or four cards every week all year long, I rarely show you 'fancy folds'. Beautiful Painted Glass
So today was another one of those days where I planned to make one thing and ended up with something else. My plan included birds, using the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP). Next I went looking for a birthday sentiment and found the perfect one in the Painted Glass Stamp Set. But then my design took an entirely different direction as you can ... VIEW POST
Official Seal Of The North Pole
Even though making 24 different cards in 24 hours was a challenge last weekend, I still found time to experiment. Today's Z-fold card was the second of the 24 and I love the faux wax seal I created for it. THE BASIC CARD AND ENVELOPE I created the basic Z-fold card base using Thick Very Vanilla Card and my Stampin' Trimmer. To start I cut the card to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". Then with the long side at the top I scored the card at 4-1/4". Next I flipped the card over so that the other long side ... VIEW POST
Seasonal greetings
May I be the first to wish you seasonal greetings and a happy Christmas for 2018! I, like many crafters, get very busy in the second half of the year preparing for craft fairs so I plan to spread my Christmas crafting over the next six months in the hope that I'll manage to avoid the last minute rush that seems to stalk me every year. I've started slowly with two cards so far, and I wanted to show you this one that uses a new stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue along ... VIEW POST
