Today is the second Monday in October and that means it's Thanksgiving here in Canada. So my post will be short and sweet with a heartfelt thank you everyone who follows my blog, or supports my business by choosing me as their Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Some I know personally and some only via the internet, but you are all a blessing in my life. SIMPLE 'WASHED' BOOKMARK Today I decided make a pretty bookmark with a 'washed' style background. This was much easier than you might think, ... VIEW POST
Tag Designs Don’t Need To Be Complicated
With all the card making I do I inevitably end up with small scraps of patterned paper and card. For the most part I keep these pieces as I hate to waste anything. So when I find my scrap collection getting out of control I often turn them into a tag or two, or three. TAG BASE For today's tag project I began with a 2" x 3-3/4" piece of Misty Moonlight Card. Using the Fancy Tag Topper Punch I shaped one end and set it aside. Then I punched the top of a 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of ... VIEW POST
And Now A Bookmark For Dog Lovers
Last month I created a bookmark featuring one of the cats from the Pampered Pets Stamp Set. This stamp set isn't only cat images and I promised to design something for the dog lovers among you. So today for my simple Sunday project I did just that. DOG AND BOWL I began by cutting a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Thick Very Vanilla Card, then shaped one end with the Fancy Tag Topper Punch. Next, from the Pampered Pets Stamp Set I chose the image with the dog facing away. Then using Basic Gray ... VIEW POST
Simple Watercoloured Camellia
When I have line-art stamp images with lots of open space I love to try different ways to add colour. Recently I've been a bit obsessed with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers so I decided to do something different for today's project. I know that not everyone is comfortable colouring, but I find it very relaxing. Today's bookmark features one of the camellia images from the So Much Love Stamp Set and 'watercolouring' technique. FIRST THINGS FIRST I began today's project by cutting a 2" ... VIEW POST
So Many Snowflakes Took Over
I really hadn't planned to make another Christmas gift tag so soon. In fact I started out with the intention of making a card using colours from a design challenge. Of course like many of my crafting sessions things took on a mind of their own. I'm not even sure why I picked up the So Many Snowflakes Dies, but it didn't turn out too bad in the end. SNOWFLAKES When designing a new project I often pull out lots of different products and just to get my creative juices flowing. It's only ... VIEW POST
Home is where the heart is
In case you were wondering, Christmas Day is twenty weeks today. A couple of people I've mentioned this to seem less than impressed so I thought it best not to add insult to injury with a Christmas project. That didn't stop me reaching for some new products from the Stampin' Up! August to December Mini Catalogue though. As it turned out my Coming Home gift tag could be for just about any time of year. BIG HOME SMALL HOME This project all started with the Coming Home Stamp Set and a ... VIEW POST
