It was fun unpacking the orders that were delivered yesterday. I love taking a closer look at products my customers have ordered that I haven’t got. Sometimes I can see why they bought them, even though it’s perhaps not my style. Other times it makes me add a product to my wish list. That’s what I love about the Stampin’ Up! catalogues, there’s always something for every taste. I wonder if today will be the day you decide to order the Tailor Made Tags Dies or He’s The Man DSP? He’s All That Reinvented
Do you find yourself caught in a creative trap when working with stamp sets that have coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP)? I know I do. It’s like once I’ve seen the images in one colour palette I’m unable to un-see it. Then every time I use the stamps I gravitate to those same colours even if I’m not using the DSP. Today however I decided to be strong and try something completely different with the He’s All That Stamp Set. After a little play I ended up with this card. BASICALLY ... VIEW POST
Looking Forward To Father’s Day
Now that Mother's Day has passed it's time to think about Father's Day. Sadly it seems that too will be celebrated at a distance this year. So today's mini photo album project, while quick and easy, could help bridge the gap. A CUT ABOVE This Father's Day project actually started without an end project in mind. It was one of those afternoons where I just wanted to spend some quiet time colouring. Instead of flowers I decided to pull out the A Cut Above Stamp Set. From the fun ... VIEW POST
Layering Ovals To The Rescue
Sometimes when I sit down to craft I know exactly what I'm going to do. Other times I just start playing and see where I end up. Today's project was one of those created without any real plan, and it was saved by the retiring Layering Ovals Dies. WELL SUITED It all began after I found an 8" x 10" brown carrier bag in my stash. It's very boring, but I remember buying it because I thought it was a perfect 'blank canvas' just waiting to be decorated. I'd been making lots of quite ... VIEW POST
Tiny Woven Threads
I'm still obsessed with the new Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) and determined that this year I'll use it to the max. I hate to waste my crafting supplies and will save the smallest pieces of card and DSP 'just in case'. Today's project is another idea for using those small scraps. For this masculine card I used just pieces from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. CRACKED ICE TECHNIQUE I began by creating my card base using Thick Whisper White Card. Then I got to work ... Mosaic Mood And Geared Up Garage
Today's What Will You Stamp? Challenge is #WWYS220 - Geared Up Garage. This stamp set is in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue and I was so happy when I it had been carried over into the new catalogue. Also carried over was the coordinating Garage Gears Dies and Classic Garage Metal Elements (silver wrenches / spanners and keys). Sadly though, the Designer Series Paper and black and silver ribbon didn't make the cut. So when I was thinking about my WWYS Design Team project for this week I ... VIEW POST
