I love the simple look of silhouettes. There’s something quite magical about a dark shape against a lighter, brighter background. In the past Stampin’ Up! have even created silhouette stamps, but sadly they have long since retired. When I recently bought the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set I had an idea to use it as a simple background for silhouettes. I just needed the right image to layer on top. Then while making something else using the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set I noticed the solution was right ... VIEW POST
Sneak Peek Recap And More!
At last it’s here! After lots of anticipation the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue is now live for customers. It’s been fun playing with the products I was able to get during the Demonstrator pre-order period. However starting today I now have the whole catalogue to choose from, and it’s hard to decide what to get first. IDEAS Blog Hop: He’s The Man
It’s the first Monday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “fast & fabulous cards”. The products in this suite really make it easy to create masculine / gender neutral projects like today's ... VIEW POST
A Busy Thanksgiving Weekend

Every year I'm amazed by how much is donated for the sale and the amount of money raised. What's more, I love seeing things going to new homes rather than landfill. Reuse, repurpose, recycle. Thanksgiving weekend is also when the local craft bazaars where I sell many of my cards and projects close for the season. Not that ... VIEW POST
Autumn Colours And Textures
Ooh it was chilly this morning! Autumn is definitely in the air and the garden is starting to show it. I have a feeling my casserole recipe book is about to make it to the top of the pile. I do love autumn though, there's something about the colours and textures that never fail to inspire me. Today I decided to decorate a mini pizza box with a sweet sunflower as my focal point. Although I knew I wanted a yellow sunflower on my box, I began by looking at the Come To Gather 12" x 12" ... VIEW POST
