Yesterday I went through my craft studio marking the products from the August to December Mini Catalogue that are retiring. While I'm always sad to see things go, I know that it makes way for new goodies. My challenge over the coming weeks is to remind you of some of the things you might want to get while they're still available. Today I've managed to combine four retiring products on one project. These are the Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Balmy Blue Glimmer ... VIEW POST
Sharing A Little Winter Joy
I'm not sure what happened yesterday but my "to do" list never really moved. It was one of those days where I just felt like curling up on the sofa with a good book. So that's what I did. I was deep into "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest" by Stieg Larsson and I just couldn't put it down. So this morning's simple Sunday project had to be made in record time. JOY TO THE WORLD My pretty gift tag began with a small scrap of paper from the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST
Not A Lot Of Peace This Morning
Well this morning certainly hasn't gone according to plan. I have a rare day off and so many things I want to get done. Unfortunately it seems nothing I do seems to be going right, hence the very late blog post. So I may well pare my to do list right down to the essentials. Blessed In So Many Different Ways
I'm tired today. Plus it's grey and overcast outside with the promise of rain later which doesn't help. So I'm grateful that the new doors from my studio are now installed and sealed. This means that in the next day or two I'll be able to settle back into the room to create. I'm lucky that during the renovations I've been able to work from my dining room, but it's not ideal. Mind you it's been a treat looking out of the window with a view of the bay. It's quite different from the woods and ... VIEW POST
Step By Step Ornament Colouring
Today's project was supposed to be a quick gift tag using one of the ornament images from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set. In the end it took me a lot longer than I'd planned as I decided to stop and take a photograph at every stage. So with an unusually photograph heavy blog post, here's my finished project. TAKE ONE ORNAMENT So I started today's project with one of the larger ornament images in the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set. Using Night of Navy ink I stamped the image onto Very ... VIEW POST
Pull out those friends and family photos
What is it that inspires you to create a particular project? Is it the need to make something for a specific person or occasion? Or does your mood or feelings lead you? As I create something new everyday I find my inspiration all over the place. Today it was the perfect storm of rediscovering gorgeous paper and glancing at a new stamp set. So for today's simple Sunday project I created a pretty album that's perfect for special photos of friends and family. AMAZING PHOTOS As I ... VIEW POST
