I love a new Stampin' Up! catalogue, especially a new Annual Catalogue. This is the time we get a new set of In Colors - five new colours that will be with us for just two years. They are designed to complement each other and the other 45 colours in the Stampin' Up! range. For today's project I simply couldn't resist including Cinnamon Cider. It's a lovely lighter brown with warm orange tones. I love it already and have lots of ideas for future projects. For this project I've combined this ... VIEW POST
For The Gardener or Bird Lover
Today's blog project is a quick showcase of a notebook that would be a great gift for the gardener or bird lover. For this I went back to some products in the Annual Catalogue, the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP). FOR THE GARDENER? I simply can't get enough of the Bird Ballad DSP and I know I'm not the only one. I'm not even sure what the flowers / shrub on this particular design are, but I just know this make me smile. Perhaps if there's a ... VIEW POST
Flourishing Phrases for #WWYS215
It's Monday, and time for another What Will You Stamp? challenge. Of course as a member of the Design Team that means I have to come up with something to inspire you. The rules are the same, chose at least one stamp from the featured set and use it to create an inspiring project. This week the challenge is #WWYS215 Flourishing Phrases. Crafting Forever Colour Inspiration
Since discovering Stampin' Up! I've changed the way I look at things. It wasn't a deliberate decision, but rather crept up on me somewhat. I no longer see in colour, or even 'glorious technicolor', no I see in Stampin' Up! colour! It's not a bad thing by any means, as a piece of knitwear in a store provided the inspiration for today's project. It certainly brings new meaning to the phrase crafting forever. CRAFTING FOREVER I decided to try out my new colour combination using the three ... VIEW POST
Tea Room Specialty DSP
Over the years I've learned to appreciate patterned papers. I've tried various brands but I've not found any quite like Stampin' Up! Their normal Designer Series Paper (often referred to as DSP) is fairly thick with designs on both sides. Sometimes though they'll create 'Specialty DSP' like Joyous Noel with foil accents in some of the designs. The Tea Room Specialty DSP is different again as it's much thinner than their normal DSP, more like copy paper. While it's not suitable for making ... VIEW POST
New stresses
Just when things appear to be sorting themselves out, life throws you a curve ball to make sure you're paying attention. Yesterday my 7 year old granddaughter spend a good part of the afternoon in her local paediatric emergency room. She acquired a number of bites on a recent field trip and one was particularly nasty. Having just completed a course of antibiotics and antihisthamines the redness around this one bite flared up again, and her doctor decided this warranted further ... VIEW POST
