I'm always surprised when I see a Stampin' Up! Retiring List. Mostly because something is being retired that I was certain was safe. Today however I wanted to use the Way To Goat Stamp Set simply because it's not retiring. I must admit that I never expected it to be carried over into the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue, but I'm certainly not disappointed. WAY TO GOAT My project actually began as a simple relaxation exercise. I find colouring stamped images really calming especially when ... VIEW POST
Spring Flowers For A Quick Birthday Card
Sometimes I spend a lot of time on a project, other times I just need something quick and easy. When that happens I rely less on techniques and tools, and more on the products. Today's simple Sunday project is a perfect example of that. The patterns in the Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) did all the work. All I had to do was cut and layer the pieces and then add my stamped sentiment. COLOURFUL FLOWERS I began this project by choosing a bright and ... VIEW POST
Fabulous Daisies But Only On Paper
It will be spring soon, but right now Old Man Winter is making his presence known with a bitter wind and sub-zero temperatures. I'm done with the cold now and could really do with some nice warmer spring weather. I can't wait for the garden to spring back to life and am eagerly awaiting the signs of new growth. After the green of new grass, come the dandelions. I don't mind them as they're a first food source for the bees. My favourite 'weed' has to be daisies though, they're simple but ... VIEW POST
Many Mates For Simple Cards
Like sympathy cards I find that my favourite 'thinking of you' cards are generally quite simple. It's all about the message after all. So when I sat down to design today's simple Sunday project I decided to use just stamps, ink and paper. Instead of flowers I opted for a more masculine / gender neutral leafy theme. And for the sentiment I pulled out the Many Mates Stamp Set which I don't think I've used in a while. SIMPLE LAYERS I may have chosen leaves for my project but they ... VIEW POST
Thank You Snow Much Alyssa
Whatever else I have to do, I still manage to have a daily chat with my daughter and granddaughter in the UK. Although she's only 10 Alyssa loves papercrafting and takes a keen interest in my creations. Yesterday we were taking about the recent freezing rain, and the snow that's forecast for today. Then Alyssa suggested that I make a card with "It's snow cold" as a sentiment. Sadly I don't have that in my stash, but I did find "Thank you snow much". So with that in mind I created this ... Four Season Floral Reminder
Every year as the end of the current Stampin' Up! annual catalogue draws near I make an effort to use up my scraps. This year is unusual as Stampin' Up! is changing it's annual catalogue period, and the current one expires in early May not early June. As a result my end of catalogue planning is starting a month earlier too. So today I'm revisiting the Four Season Stamp Set which is current, but not shown in any of the major Stampin' Up! catalogues. I'm also using up a scrap of Flowers For ... VIEW POST
