Sometimes when you have a very sore throat you just have to go with the flow... Like right now as I am fighting off a cold kindly given to me by my hubby. It's my granddaughters' first birthday today and twins were definitely on my mind. In fact this project is a collaboration with some additional input from my daughter, the twins’ Mummy. So with the cuddling koalas from the Count On Me Stamp Set and the Forever Fern and Forever Flourishing Dies close at hand, I set to work. COUNT ON ME ... VIEW POST
Don’t Overlook Ornate Frames
Have you taken advantage of the Seasonal Sale yet? Quite a few of my customers were quick off the mark and have already saved on card, ink pads and dies. Yesterday's blog project included the Tasteful Labels Dies which is one of my favourites when cutting out larger sentiments. For smaller sentiments my goto is the Ornate Frames Dies and it features on today's gift box idea. QUICK BOX While I do make my own boxes it's handy to have an instant option. The Mini Paper Pumpkin box is one ... VIEW POST
DSP Retiring While The Stamps And Dies Are Not
One of the things I like to remind my customers about is that almost all Designer Series Paper (DSP) retires at the end of the catalogue period in which they appear. This year, of all the DSP in the 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue only the In Good Taste 12" x 12" DSP is being carried over. For the most part I look forward to seeing new paper designs but there's one particular issue I want to highlight. This is that when a particular paper pack that's retiring coordinates with a stamp set, dies or ... VIEW POST
Forever Fern And A Bundle Reminder
Yesterday Stampin' Up! let Demonstrators know that sales of the Strawberry Builder Punch (and coordinating Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set) are exceeding expectations. As a result the punch is currently not orderable, and the next batch due shortly is not expected to last long. While it's certainly disappointing, there is some good news. Stampin' Up! also told us that the stamp set and punch will be in the new 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue. And what's more it will still be available as a discounted ... VIEW POST
Improvising With Forever Flourishing Dies
Well that was an interesting 24 hours. This time yesterday it had started snowing and I could barely see the end of the driveway through the storm. By 2.30pm the deck and steps we impassable and it was at least 6" deep outside the garage. So out came the snowblower and we spent an hour restoring access. Then in the evening and overnight rain was forecast, in fact a lot of rain. So now almost all the snow has gone and we're enjoying sunshine and blue sky. That makes me much happier and I ... Let Me Plant A Seed Of An Idea
Today's project came about because I wanted to remind you to consider dies even if you don't like the coordinating stamp set. As it happens I did buy the stamps for the dies I used today, but it was the dies that drew me in. That's because as soon as I saw the Forever Flourishing Dies I could see how useful they would be. I have a lot of flower stamps and dies but not nearly as many leaves and branch dies. So adding these dies would expand my design options. To prove my point I decided to ... VIEW POST
