OK let’s talk about gift tags. They can be as simple or as complicated as you want. The tied tags I make fall into 3 categories. First there’s the folded tags (most often 3” x 3”) that look like mini cards. Then there’s flat tags made using dies like the Tailor Made Tags Dies. But for speed and ease of use you can’t beat the Tag Topper punches from Stampin’ Up! Today’s project features the Delightful Tag Topper Punch which I suspect may be on the retiring list next ... IDEAS Blog Hop: Free As A Bird
It’s the first Monday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is celebrating friends and we have lots of different projects for you. I decided to create my project using the Free As A Bird Stamp Set. In the IDEAS Tutorial Bundle PDF there’s an elegant scrapbook page. While here on my blog there's a coordinating card for you. For both projects I opted to use a delicate and pretty colour palette of Very Vanilla, Crumb ... VIEW POST
Merci Chocolates For A Quick Treat
Sometimes its nice to say thank you with a treat. As a papercrafter I think it's even nicer to say thank you with a treat that's in a pretty package. So when I found a box of Merci chocolate (the stick kind) I couldn't resist. After a bit of trial and error I came up with this quick and easy idea using just a quarter sheet of cardstock. MERCI PACKAGE BASICS I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut a 2-3/4" x 8-3/8" piece of Soft Succulent Card. Then with the short side at the top I ... VIEW POST
Yesterday Tragedy Touched My World
Yesterday morning as I sat down to write my blog I said it was an "interesting" morning. On the instructions of the RCMP we were locked in our home and keeping an eye out for strangers on our property. All we knew at the time was that there was an "active shooter" situation 3kms down the road. Living in a rural community we're used to hearing the odd gunshot during hunting season. This however was something entirely different. Little did we know that as the day progressed the eyes of the ... VIEW POST
Bird Ballad Notebook Minus The Birds
It's the first day of autumn and while the garden is already changing I'm not quite ready to give up on summer flowers. So today I decided to revisit the Bird Ballad suite but focus on one of the pretty floral designs in the Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. My regular readers will know that I love anything that helps me stay organised, so what better way to extend summer than with a pretty floral notebook. A NEW NOTEBOOK I began with an uninspiring 5" x 7" ruled notebook from ... VIEW POST
Out Of The Box Coordination
It's no secret that I love my Paper Pumpkin subscription. Every month I get a box full of prepared pieces and instructions to enable me to make gorgeous projects. If I loved my Paper Pumpkin before, I'm besotted now. Just recently Stampin' Up! have raised the bar again by coordinating the kit projects with products from the catalogue. In May, we were sent the Hugs from Shelli Kit which coordinated with the Bird Ballad Suite and as usual I'm still playing with pieces from the kit weeks later. ... VIEW POST
