This month Stampin' Up! has challenged Demonstrators to create a project using just stamps, ink, card, and any of the new Designer Series Papers (DSP). This is part of their #simplestamping campaign designed to encourage new stampers, or get experienced stampers back to basics. So, not only are we limited with the products we can use, no expensive tools or difficult techniques are allowed either. For the past few years I've been sharing my "simple Sunday" projects so it's not a new concept ... VIEW POST
I Never Tire Of Notebooks
With life being incredibly busy, and possibly by necessity as a result of my advancing years, I love notebooks. I have a small notebook on the fridge so we can add things to the shopping list as soon as we realise we need it. I have one in the car to keep track of my mileage and vehicle expenses, and one in my bag. My craft studio is also home to several notebooks, each with a specific purpose. I know I'm not the only person who is attracted to pretty notebooks and pads, but I'm not keen ... VIEW POST
Crafting with Re-purpose
Do you have a hard time throwing things away because you might find a use for them in your crafting? This happens to me more often than I care to admit. So today I decided to finally re-purpose one of the very sturdy boxes that originally contained a module for the new Storage by Stampin' Up!® range. In fact to be more specific, the box contained a set of 5 trays for my Stampin' Blends. ONE BIG BOX TO RE-PURPOSE This box is 6" wide by 6" high by 5" deep. It's also very sturdy which ... VIEW POST

Woo hoo! It's June 4th and that means that later today everyone can start ordering from the Stampin' Up! 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue. I'm sure you're eager to work on your wishlist so today's project is a quick 3" x 3" card created using products from the Bird Ballad suite. BEAUTIFUL BIRD ... VIEW POST
Good Morning Sunshine
Late yesterday the clouds finally lifted and we got our first glimpse of blue skies in almost a week. This morning we awoke to a beautiful day and the promise of perfect drying weather. So while I wait for the washing to finish, here's another sneak peek from the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. BLOCK-FILL TECHNIQUE As soon as I saw the Free As A Bird Stamp Set I knew it would be perfect for the block-fill technique. I began with a layer of Shimmery White Card and the image of the four ... Bird Watching In The Rain
Yesterday continued as it started, grey and wet, and today looks to be much the same. My poor cat Houdini is not enjoying it at all. He loves sitting on the deck watching the birds, but not when it's raining. The process was always the same, he'd ask to go out, he's sit for a while, then he's ask to come in. Having done so he then stands by 'his' towel waiting to be dried off! I've never known a cat do that, but at least he's not jumping on the furniture soaking wet. But then another bird ... VIEW POST
