Did you realise that one week today it will be the end of January! How on earth did that happen? As I get older it definitely seems like the days and weeks are speeding by faster than ever. Good job too, as I’m bored with winter now, and the winter storm warning that appeared overnight. I’m definitely a warm weather girl and spring can’t arrive soon enough. Perhaps that’s why I paired the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set with this sheet from the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper (DSP) ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Snowy Morning
With a very long list of things I want to accomplish today I decided to get up early. I love getting up while it’s still dark, and try to time my first coffee break so I can watch the sun rise. Today I was in for another treat as we had a dusting of snow too. There’s something very peaceful about fresh snow on the ground, especially when there’s not so much it will have to be shovelled. It also inspired this quick robin project made for a good friend. PEACEFUL MOMENTS I began by ... VIEW POST
Another Happy Hedgehog
Today’s quick project was another of those happy accidents. I was looking to create something using products that I’ve neglected for while but were still available from Stampin’ Up! As I picked up the Happy Hedgehogs Stamp Set I could hear something loose in the case. And there when I opened it was a hedgehog image already stamped onto Sahara Sand Card in Early Espresso ink. Also there was a separate prickly hedgehog back stamped onto Crumb Cake Card with Early Espresso ink. All I needed was a ... VIEW POST
Friendship With A Good Book
I’ve been feeling unwell for a couple of days, and while I’m CoVid negative it’s not pleasant. Therefore my plan for today is to curl up on the sofa with a good book. So I suppose it should come as no surprise that today’s project is a bookmark. It was the very first thing I thought of when I saw this tall, narrow friendship sentiment. I also have an idea for combining it with the doorway from the Warm Welcome Bundle, but that will have to wait until another day. FLOWERS OF FRIENDSHIP I ... VIEW POST
Sun Prints In Grey
It’s warm, the sun is shining and my to do list is full of fun stuff. It’s going to be a great day. One of my ‘tasks’ is to go through some prints that my daughter took and sent to me recently. All are of her family, but it was a black and white photo that immediately caught my eye. I’d seen this picture of my twin granddaughters when she first took it last year. Today my plan was to use it on a scrapbook page for my family album. SUN PRINTS BACKGROUND My initial idea was to use a ... VIEW POST
Papaya And Mango Medley
Yesterday was a glorious day here in Nova Scotia. Hubby was finally able to repair the last of the winter storm damage and I can stop ‘reminding’ him about it. Meanwhile I got three full loads of laundry washed and dried outside. I may be a little odd but I love to see a line full of washing flapping in the breeze. With the chores done I also grabbed some time in my craft studio to create today’s simple Sunday project. Pale Papaya and Mango Melody provided the perfect combination. COLOURED ... VIEW POST
