We've all done it, had good intentions about mailing a card and somehow it never happened. Right now, with the COVID-19 situation, my belated birthday card using the Sorry For Everything Stamp Set takes on a whole new meaning. SIMPLY SORRY I began my project with a Mossy Meadow ink pad and the large "sorry" sentiment. After stamping it onto Whisper White Card I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to mount it onto a layer of Mossy Meadow Card. Then I added a line of three small ... VIEW POST
Playing With The First Bugs Of The Year
The sun is shining and the garden is full of birds. It might still be just above freezing but there's something there that's attracting them. I suspect that the bugs are starting to be more active in the lawn and I have no issues with the birds dealing with them for me. I love to see the garden coming back to life and little things like this are all part of the cycle. It reminded me of some things I haven't used in ages and I thought I should remedy that. So out came the Wiggle Worm Stamp ... VIEW POST
Marking St David’s Day With A Finished Card
Exactly one week ago I was experimenting with daffodils. Well experimenting with how to make 3D daffodils from card. The jury's still out one which version of the two was more popular, but as today is St David's Day I just could resist using one to make this card. SPRING COLOURS I wanted to have a spring-like feel to my St. David's Day project so chose Pear Pizzazz Card for the base. First I cut and scored it using my Paper Trimmer. Then I folded the card along the scored line and ... VIEW POST
A Treat In A Triangle Box
Every year I love coming up with creative ways to gift little treats. Even though the packaging style may be the same, the change in paper, stamp sets and dies always seems to give the project new life. So with that in mind, here's my 2019 version of a triangle box for two Hershey's Nuggets. TRIANGLE BOX TUTORIAL I made this year's triangle box using a piece from the Garden Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP). It probably isn't the first DSP pack you'd think of for Christmas ... Don’t Ignore The Leafy Greens
Today I woke up with the idea of creating a simple card with an asymmetrical layout. I also thought it was time to break out the Garden Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) again. As I was looking through the different sheets I was drawn to a leafy pattern on a crisp white background. I'm pretty sure I haven't used this pattern before so that became my starting point. LEAFY COORDINATION Although I wanted the leafy pattern to be obvious I decided to also incorporate quite a lot ... VIEW POST
Cow’s it going? Could be better…
The fact that my blog post is late being published should give you a clue about my morning. We're currently under an extreme heat warning here in Nova Scotia and it's already 20 degrees C by 9am. Then later today with the humidity it could end up feeling like 40 degrees! As if that wasn't enough, while working at my computer I got up to get a fresh coffee. I realised that the power lead was in danger of tripping me up so brought my foot up fast to avoid it and bashed by Achilles tendon on ... VIEW POST
